"N-no " I stuttered . Alex stood back , his eyebrows knitted in confusion .

"What? Wendy iv waited a whole year ! No not even that , iv waited since 8th grade! Don't do this!" He growled and kicked a stone into the little lake beside us .

"I-m sorry , I can't . Not now . I'm starting college soon and you'll be back on tour ! It's not fair on either of us !" I said a little more vicious than intended . He wasn't thinking this through

he couldn't just disappear for a year then act like he was never gone . He couldn't pretend he was here for me coz he wasn't . He wasn't a ghost watching me .

"Fuck Wendy ! You think I won't try and make it work ?" His voice wavered with anger . I nawed on the skin of my lip hoping that somehow each bite would take away this guilt in my heart .

"I'm not saying that lex ! It's just now isn't a good time . You've got this amazing career , one you have always wanted and I can't watch you throw it away for me ! It's not fair on the others ! Jack has wanted this for so long ,, are you really gonna take this away from him ? Your bestfriend ? Your not thinking anything through lex ! I'm at college now , I have this summer and that's it , nothing else to make memories with you guys ! 7 weeks isn't a lot to fill the hole you left in me! I have things I need to do , I can't just forget Jasey!"

I had my eyes squeezed shut as I used all my left over anger to scream at Alex . When I opened them , Alex , Alex was red in the face , his fingers running through his hair as tears threatened to fall like bullets . He held them back .

"Is this it then ? We have this summer and nothing else ? I don't think 7 weeks is long enough for me to catch up on a year .... Maybe I should just leave you" he murmered . I shook my headed immediately

although I had a lot to do this summer , ignoring Alex all together would destroy me .

"No don't go ! Please lex we can do it . This summer me and you! Iv missed you so much don't just throw it away please!" I begged and held a tighter grip on his wrist , he sighed and turned to me .


"fine if it's what you want Wendy "

"Wow , so it's been hetic then ? " I nodded and unlocked our door , greeted by a screaming girl with blonde pigtails .

"WENDY I LET MELVIN OUT I CANT FIND HIM !!!" She whimpered and clutched to my shirt
"you let him out ? For fu- come on let's find him " I huffed :

melvin was jasey's pet . I say pet , really it was a rodent I despised . She had a pet ferret , long story short she wanted a pet no one else had . A ferret just so happened to fit her list of fluffy cute and weird . We had lost Melvin multiple times , always jasey's fault . I honestly hoped the rodent had escaped the house all together and was gone for good .

Alex coughed behind me .
"Just wait a sec ?" He nodded and closed the front door leaving me with Jasey to find Melvin .

We searched high and low , no traces of him where found . Maybe he had escaped , and if so thank fuck for that .

"I FOUND HIM !!!!" She squealed and held up the ugly creature to my face . I sighed and took him in my hands , cursing under my breath as he clawed at my skin .

Once he was back In his cage , locked in of course , I washed my hands and opened the door . Alex grinned and came in his eyes wondering over the place .
"It's changed "

"well duh ! " I rolled my eyes and walked over to the sofa . I smiled to myself as Jasey turned around

"ALEX!" She screamed , running at him full force . She wrapped her arms around his legs pressing her face into his knees

"Some one missed me!" Alex grinned and picked Jasey up , she erupted into a fit of giggles

"I did miss you ! Where were you ! Where was jack?!!!" She blabbered on .
"Don't you worry about that tinker , tell me what you have been doing !" I cringed at the nickname he had given her .

Tinker , tinker bell . After Alex and jack practically forced Jasey to watch Peter Pan , she insisted faired were real , and she was tinker bell , I was obviously Wendy , Alex had to be Peter and jack was a lost boy . This eventually evolved into a game which somehow I managed to sneak away from .

It would just be those dorks running yelling "save neverland tinker !" Followed by jack picking her up and wiz zing her around the room .

"Please don't leave us again " she pouted and cuddled into Alex's lap . He gave a small pitiful smile , his eyes gleaming .

"I can't keep promises tinker "
