Inflicted

New chapter in life

The sun was shining and the birds were chirping as they flew in the azure sky. The loner male was walking around the university grounds as people shuffled by him talking and laughing with their friends. Happy loved people were everyone and the males stomach churned at the sight. It also wasn’t helping that another male was following him ever since he left the university grounds.

“ Are you gonna follow me all the way to my house?” he asked finally building up his courage.

“ You knew I was following you?” the other male asked surprised.

“ Yes. Now explain please.”

“ Can’t I follow you?” the other male asked pouting.

“ No and stop pouting.”

“ Why?”

“ Why would you follow me?” he asked confused.

“ Why not?” the other male shrugged.

“ Care to elaborate?”

The other male shook his head and that was the last straw. He sat down on a bench and pulled the other male next to him.

“ Jack Barakat, why are you talking to a loser like me?” Jack faced the male and smiled.

“ Alex Gaskarth, you’re not a loser. You’re perfect in my eyes.”

New line

Those words seemed to make Alex genuinely smile. Jack truly cared and loved him but life wasn’t that easy. Jack had to go through the test before he could trust him. It went on for a week where Jack did everything Alex told him to do no matter how embarrassing or foul it was. Jack wanted to prove that he truly wanted to be friends with Alex and wasn’t pulling anything.

“ Why can’t you trust me yet? What else do I have to do? Tell me. Alex, tell me. Tell me. I’ll do it” Jack whined.

“ Stop whining! I already said I hate it. “

“ Come on. Please Alex. Please. please. Please...”

“ No.”

“ Please Alex. Please. Please”

“ Fine! We can be friends now shut up!”

“ Really?” Jack questioned.

“ Yes.”

Jack smiled before engulfing the younger in his arms. Alex stiffened and was at lost of words at the sudden skinship. He secretly smiled in Jack's embrace. No. No! You can’t do this! He kept telling himself.
Alex pushed Jack away and coughed before getting off the bench and walking towards the bus stop. Jack stood confused for a second before following the other. That night went on in silence and ended with Alex falling asleep.
