Everything's Magic

Do You Ever See Yourself in Love?

As Jack walked into school, he let out a loud groan, earning looks from the people who passed by him. He didn't care though, he just wanted to fall asleep. Yet again he stayed up all night, barely managing to get up this morning. He knew he had to get out his bed. How else was he meant to apologise to Alex?

He dragged himself to first lesson, his eyes barely open. At least that's what it felt like.

He got to lesson on time, surprisingly, and sat himself down on his chair, ignoring everyone.

As soon as Jack walked in, people instantly knew not to talk to him just by the looks of him walking in. He was pleased that they knew when not to bother him.

After his name got called out on the register, he placed his head against the table, his arms covering his face as he went to sleep.

The next thing he knew was waking up when the bell rang. So the teacher didn't even notice him sleeping? He shrugged, getting up, yawning and simply walking out the door with everyone else.

Next is science.

Jack looked down the hallway, not really paying attention to anything. It's one of these days where he generally doesn't give a crap about anything but one thing. And the one thing is Alex, and only Alex.

He felt shivers when he walked into Science. Everyone had already got their stuff they were working on, and Jack finally realised that maybe he was walking a little too slow.

"Jack, you're late." The teacher said in a warning tone, giving Jack 'the look'. Some people turned around to face him, very little didn't.

"Yeah, sorry." Jack said just loud enough to hear. He wondered over to his seat, letting out a groan of tiredness. He placed his chin in his knuckles, sighing as a piece of hair went in his face. He left it though, too tired to care if it was blocking half of his eye sight. He really didn't feel like doing any work today, but he always didn't want Alex to get pissed.

"Today's the last lesson to get your revision posters finished. Later on, we'll be reading out the text book and hopefully do something physical." The teacher announced. They had two lessons of Science today, so he guessed they'd do the physical stuff later on today.

He felt Alex get up beside him. He let out the breath he didn't even know he was holding in.

"Hey, Jack?" He heard a feminine voice call beside him. He turned around, finding Jesse looking at him with a confused look.

"Hm, yeah?" Jack said lazily, rubbing his eyes.

"The date yesterday. You didn't show up." She sounded annoyed. And wow, he felt like an asshole. He totally forgot.

"Jess, look, I'm sorry. I had a really bad day yesterday, it slipped my mind. I really am sorry." And Jack felt extremely terrible for letting Jesse down, because honestly, she was a great girl to be with, and he had let her down.

"Nah, it's alright Jack. I understand. Another time, yeah?" She smiled, tapping Jack's thigh, making him feel like a five-year-old.

"Yeah." He nodded before Alex got back. He turned his attention on him as he sat down. For some reason, he felt a little better. Maybe talking to someone helped a little. Helped a lot actually.

"Alex," He called, feeling the need to apologize. Alex snapped his head to Jack, happy to hear his voice. "um, I just wanted to say sorry about yesterday. I was being a total jerk." He kept his voice down, sighing as he felt the weight in his shoulders loosen.

Alex grinned at him, happy he could finally hear his voice and that he was making an apology.

"I appreciate the apology, but what for?" Alex bit down on his bottom lip, playing with the loose thread from his jeans while waiting upon an answer from the nervous boy side him.

"Because I raised my fist at you the other day. Plus, I was being a dick before that." Jack admitted, shame racing through his words. And he did feel shameful. Even though Alex had stole his phone, he had no right to threaten him with his fist. Alex had a right to take his phone off him anyway, because he wasn't helping with the work at all, so it was pretty understandable. He decided to leave the part where he ran away from him.

"Oh, yeah, about that. I shouldn't of took your phone, anyway. It's your possession, not mine. I guess that makes me a thief," Alex sighed, fiddling in his pocket for the black phone that was still in there, pulling it out and holding it out for Jack to take. "You can have it back. After all, it is yours."

"Alex, you're not a thief. You took it off me for a good reason. With finals coming up and everything, I shouldn't have been on the damn thing. Thanks, anyway." Jack smiled as he gently took the phone from Alex's hand, blushing when their fingers touched. He pushed it into his jean pocket, not bothering to check his messages. They were probably from his mum asking him how the house was going. Even though he wasn't old enough to own a house, his parents let him anyway, paying for his rent and dropping over quickly for when someone important wanted to see them. It sometimes upset Jack that he lived by himself with no one but at school to talk to. He never really hung out with the other popular shitty people that were so interested in him. He told himself he wouldn't let popularity get to his head.

It went silent from the boys for a couple of minutes, until Jack spoke up.

"So, are we cool?" He questioned, dying to know the answer. Alex's lips pulled up into a grin, nodding his head.

"Yeah."

And finally, Jack felt relaxed. He felt his muscles fall less tense.

"Hey look, Alex. If you want, you could always come by mine." Jack said, in the most innocent way he could muster. Alex looked over at Jack, biting down on his lip.

"Yeah, sure." Alex blushed for some unknown reason. Maybe it was the thought of going back to Jack's house, knowing what went on in there was what made him blush.

"Later today?" Jack placed his hand on Alex's thigh, making him go slightly wide-eyed.

Is he showing signs that he wants to do what we did the last time I was around his? What if he wants an one night stand again?

Alex sighed, nodding his head, and felt Jack's hand rub his thigh before taking it off.

Alex got up to collect the poster, as usual, and returned back to his sheet. He placed the paper down, noticing Jack scan through it.

"You're really good at drawing, y'know?" He said, pointing to the cute cartoon, yet realistic, drawing of a mouse. And Jack was being truthful. He still has the drawing that Alex had made at home still on the coffee table. He hasn't had the guts to move it yet, because honestly, he was scared of what memories would come back.

Alex blushed at Jack's words, grabbing a pencil.

"Well, you're really good at drawing square-robots." Alex chuckled. Even though Jack's drawings were weird, he still found them cute.

"They're people." Jack pouted at Alex. Alex kind of felt bad for what he had said, for some reason.

"Oh. Well, they're cute." Just like you. He wanted to add, but concealed himself.

"Thanks. I can't draw bodies, so I just draw squares. Oh well, at least I'm being creative." Jack chuckled, opening up his textbook.

"I could always teach you, if you want? I don't know." Alex mumbled at the end, forcing his eyes on the textbook and let his hair flop in front of his eyes while he tried to hide the blush of embarrassment. Jack reached over and tilted Alex's chin up slowly with his thumb and made Alex face him.

"That would be great." Jack smiled, looking into Alex's beautiful eyes and falling deeply into them. He leaned in, and so did Alex, until the teacher slammed a book in front of them, smirking as he did so.

"Jack, you walked out my classroom the other day." The teacher stated, looking at Jack with raised eyebrows. Alex was looking the other way, his head resting on his knuckle as he looked down, hiding the blush. He was gonna kiss me.

"Oh, um, yeah... sorry about that, Sir. I know I did wrong, it won't happen again." Jack battered his eyes at the teacher, trying to be all innocent and kind. Alex, for some reason, found it sexy. Knowing that Jack was in no way innocent, but tried being innocent made him a little turned on.

"I'm sure you didn't, Jack. But you'll have to make that time back up by staying with me for break."

"It won't happen again, Sir."

"Good." Then he walked off. Alex turned to Jack, and Jack looked at Alex before they went into a laughing fit.

"It won't happen again, Sir . " Alex mocked, poking Jack's arm, getting a gentle slap back by Jack. Alex just pouted, holding his arm as he look down at his desk. He moved his eyes to look at Jack with fake sadness, acting like a told of puppy. Jack just wanted to kiss Alex's pout-y lips. But he had decided against it, laughing one last time before getting to work on the poster, Alex following shortly behind.

~~~
After school, Alex happily skipped up to his room, opening his regular, medium-sized drawing pad and settled on drawing a mouse that was up front with a big fierce cat. He made the mouse look evil, but yet, still left an innocent look. The cat had pure evil eyes and a fluffy coat. A white Persian with green eyes.
The mouse was obviously Jack. Alex just couldn't get the image of the innocent Jack out off his mind, so he settled on drawing him...as a mouse. The cat was the teacher, but in some way, it was also a force from letting the mouse cross the other side of the cat.
He finished the drawing an hour and a half later, fully sketched. He shrugged, placing his sketch book in his top draw. He looked at the time. 5:10 PM. He figured out that that was okay for Jack's term of "later".  He went downstairs, collecting his bike and saying goodbye to his mum as he got walked the front door. He hopped onto his bike, happily peddling down the street. On his way up the hill, he noticed that there was a deep, beautiful fantasy-looking forest that was covered in sky-high trees and leveled to the ground with bright green grass. He hummed at it, continuing to bike to Jack's.
Once arriving at Jack's enormous house, he settled his bike down on the floor and smiled as he reached the door, placing soft knocks on it.
It didn't take that long for Jack to appear, and he greeted Alex with a hug.
"Hey, come in." Jack moved out the way so Alex could enter the warm and cozy house. Alex mumbled a thanks and looked around the house from where he was sitting. He noticed that the fire was on and there was massive flatscreen TV hung up on the wall. It was beautiful.
Jack smiled at as Alex admired the place. He thought he looked cute by the way the corners of his mouth would turn up more when he saw something he liked. When he found himself staring, he let out a tiny "cough", clasping his hands together and rubbing them.
"Do you want anything to eat? Drink?" He asked, earning Alex's attention.
"Oh, a drink, please."
"I have water, juice, wine, coffee and tea?"
"Uh, water would do, thanks." Alex grinned, and Jack mentioned that he could sit down anywhere, adding, "on my face", as well. Alex chuckled, moving himself to sit down on the comfortable sofa.
He noticed the place was a little old-fashioned - minus the huge, high-tech TV on the wall. Alex liked it anyway, as he was into vintage stuff, too.
Jack came back over with a glass of water in one hand and a wine glass in the other. Alex knew it was wine, not that he was bothered.
He handed Alex his drink and sat down next to him.
He drank his water until it was halfway finished. He was about to place it on the coffee table until a piece of paper caught his eye.
"Oh, my drawing." He smiled, reaching over to grab it with his free hand. He placed my glass on the coffee table, then brought my drawing to his lap.
"Oh yeah. Thanks for that, by the way. You're really talented. Like, really really talented." Jack giggled, and sneaked up closer to Alex, but tried to hide it by making it look like he was uncomfortable. Alex wasn't stupid, though, and knew he was trying to get closer to him. Alex placed the paper on the coffee table and turned to Jack, moving a little closer to him. Jack acted like Alex wasn't sitting extremely close to him as he concentrated on his wine.
"What do you wanna do?" Jack asked after a while. He turned his face to the right, and his heart skipped when Alex rested his head on his shoulder.
"You own the house and make the rules, so it's up to you." Alex mumbled, playing with his fingers. Jack rolled his eyes, looking down at Alex's hands.
"Yeah, but you're the guest, and the guest always decides what happens. They're the rules." Jack stated smugly. Alex lifted his head off Jack's shoulder and looked at him with a confused expression.
"You mean the guest is the rules...or the rules are that the guests always decided what happens?" He tilted his head to the side slightly, his eyebrows knitting slowly together to form an odd frown.
"The guests make the rules."
"Oh, okay. Anyway, you have wine, right? Any beer or stronger stuff. Sorry for asking, but just feel like having some." Alex said, feeling a bit rude for asking for stuff, even if Jack was his friend. He just suddenly really wanted alcohol all of a sudden. He barely drinks that stuff, anyway, so he thought he could do with some.
"Nah, don't apologise. I'll go get some." Jack patted his knee, getting up and off to the kitchen again. He returned with a whole bottle of wine and some bottles of beer, along with a wine glass and bottle opener.
"Help yourself." He said, placing Alex's wine glass in front of him. Alex hummed quietly, grabbing a beer bottle. He grabbed the bottle opener, opening the bottle, then put it down, gulping down the beer. Jack did the same, but taking more to drink.
"Hm, so what are we gonna do, Mr Guests-Make-The-Rules?" Jack smirked, taking another gulp of his drink. Alex turned around, shrugging.
"Nothing...yet," Alex faked a cough before continuing, "but we should talk." He smiled warmly, making Jack go all funny inside. He nodded, tapping his knee with his index finger as he tried to think of a decent question.
"Um... Did you know Angels And Airwaves are bringing out a new album on Halloween?" He asked, then frowned.
Does Alex even like that music? He must do, I swear I've seen him in a band shirt before.
"Yeah. I can't wait for it. AVA is such a great 'side' project for Tom. It makes his lyrics more interesting." Alex shrugged, taking another swing at his beer that was almost empty.
"Yeah, I guess." Jack mimicked Alex's actions.
They sat in silence for a while, just staring anywhere they could while shooting alcohol down their throats. Jack decided to turn the Tv on, going onto a music channel that played the music they liked.
"You know, I miss the 'old' Blink-182." Alex started slurring slightly, gesturing to the TV that was playing "What's My Age Again" by Blink-182.
"Same, but I guess they've grown up now. I still like their music, though." Jack agreed, tapping his thigh to the beat of the song, mumbling the lyrics under his breath.
Alex hummed, listening closely to Jack's quiet singing. Sure, he didn't sound that good, but it was still adorable.
Soon enough, the song had changed. Then, Jack and Alex gasped at the same time when "Everything's Magic" by Angels And Airwaves came on.
Alex got up, while Jack turned the volume up. He grabbed Jack's hand, pulling it to get him to stand up. Jack chuckled as Alex lead him to an open area where there was nothing to harm the two tipsy boys.
Alex then intertwined their fingers, raising their hands up in the air and moved his hips. Jack giggled as he copied, taking steps back and forth.
" Prepare for the best and the fastest ride,"
Jack let go of one of Alex's hands, twirling him around with the other.
"Everything, everything's magic " They both let out little chuckles as Jack started dry humping Alex's leg to the beat. Alex just watched the way Jack's hips thrust while biting down on his lip.
" And do you ever lay awake at night?" Jack sang to Alex, raising an eyebrow as he finally stopped dry humping Alex.
"Yeah," He nodded quickly, "And do you ever tell yourself don't try?
Don't try to let yourself down." Alex sang softly, his voice like angels to Jack's ears.
"Don't try to let yourself down." Jack continued.
"And do you ever see yourself in love?" Alex sang, smiling widely at Jack as he knew he definitely found himself in love.
"Absolutely." Jack blushed as he quickly leaned forward and caught Alex's lips with his.
Alex was surprised at first, but relaxed as he felt Jack's hands slip around his waist. He kissed back immediately, and their lips moved together in perfect sync. His hands moved up Jack's chest and around his shoulders, his body getting tingles by Jack's lips up against his.
This was the first time they have experienced each others' lips passionately with no rush. It was already their favorite thing, and they both knew they wanted to do it more.
As the song was coming near an end, Jack pulled back, resting his forehead on Alex's as he sang the last two words of the song.
"Everything's magic."
Notes
Well hello. Finally updated a month later. Sorry about that.
Nearly 20 votes already?! Whaaat?
By the way, Everything's Magic is such a great song, like holy sheep (I've been saying "holy sheep" a lot lately and I don't even know why). I really like the lyrics and the song in general. :3
By the way, I had to delete this chapter because it was all weird and stuff, so yeah, this is a re-upload.
