Everything's Magic

Ignorance and Anger

Do you ever get that feeling where you're scared, but at the same time, you're all bubbly and excited. Like, the thing that's scaring you the most is the thing you're looking forward to the most?

That's how Alex felt as he opened the door to his science class.

He was feeling like this all night when he got home yesterday. Knowing he's gonna see that skunk haired boy again today made him happy, but extremely scared.

He had one question in his head, and that was: What will he say? And all he wants is an answer to his question.

He made his way to his seat, looking up to find Jack was sat down next it, his head snapped towards to the girl next him. Alex couldn't help the smile that tugged on his lips as he neared Jack, the feeling of nervousness at the pit of his stomach. As he got closer, still staring at Jack, the skunk haired boy looked up at him.

And just for a second, Alex's heart fluttered. But it got destroyed as soon as Jack quickly looked back at the girl he was previously talking with until he noticed Alex. Said boy's smile loosened a little, and he finally got to his seat, sitting down on it.

"Have you been to that new cafe in town?" Alex heard a high pitched voice come from near beside him. He turned his head a little, catching Jack shake his head.

"No." He answered. Alex lightened up a little by the sound of Jack's sweet voice, taking in the high, but low, gravely sound. He loved the noises that came out his mouth...

"Well, I could take you there if you want? You know, as a date."

Alex's breathing stopped, his eyes were slightly wide, and he felt like he was hit in the gut by a football. He ducked his head down, and shivers went up his arms.

"Sure, when?" Jack asks, sounding happy, and it hurt Alex a lot. His crush, the one that admitted he had feelings for him, going on a "date" with someone else. It hurt a lot. It hurt more, because Jack even admitted he liked Alex, and then they both gave each other blowjobs.

Then, realisation hit him straight in the heart.

It was just to get off. An one-night stand.

The one he admired used him just to get off. Alex felt like he could breakdown any minute now.

"Morning, class!" The teacher piped up, walking into the class with a load of paper nursed in his arms. "Sorry I'm late."

He sat his paper down, going over to his chair and turning his attention to the computer. It was a lot quieter than what it was when Alex arrived, or maybe it's the fact he couldn't hear voices beside him anymore.

Alex was trying to control his emotions, taking in deep breaths, and thinking about something that doesn't involve Jack. Damn, if something didn't distract him right now, he might just breakdown. He can't help but feel like he's been let down. Like his hopes were crushed.

"Alex!" A call went around the room, and Alex snapped his head up. He looked at the teacher blankly, before widening his eyes in realisation.

"O-oh, h-here." He called back, before ducking his head down to play with his hands.

"Okay, so, pair up with the person sitting next to you! We're creating summary and revision posters because there will be an important exam coming up at the end of the year. Colours are over..." Alex zoned out from the extra information the teacher was giving, turning slowly around to Jack, seeing as he's his partner; he always has been, in Science anyway.

"Um, hey." He said quietly, feeling his cheeks heat up. He looked at Jack through his eyelashes as Jack turned to face him.

"Mhm" Was all he said, a nod going with it. Alex sank lower into his chair, a frown on his face.

So he's not talking to me now? And now he felt really hurt.

He got up, his arms lazily swinging as he walked over to where all the paper and colours were. He collected all the stuff he and Jack needed, walking back over to Jack and placing the stuff all over the table. Jack was on his phone under the table, and Alex rolled his eyes, sitting back on his seat.

He placed the A3 piece of plain paper in the middle of the table, enough for Jack to do something on it too. He then handed Jack his textbook, and got himself one.

"Okay, um, I'll write the title. You can, um..." Alex turned to look at what Jack was doing, finding he was still on his phone, texting someone. He must of not heard Alex, or maybe he was ignoring him. "...can continue playing on your phone." Alex muttered, sighing as he reached for the black fine liner.

Halfway through the class, Alex had done almost all the work, and Jack just sat on his phone, hiding it when the teacher stalked over to the boys. Alex was kind of getting a little ticked off by the fact he was doing all the work; Jack hasn't even opened his textbook. Also, Jack hasn't said a word to him.

Alex slammed the pen on the table, turning around to Jack, grabbing his phone off him and curling it around his hand. Jack jumped when Alex suddenly took it, and turned around to glare at Alex. He held out his hand, signaling Alex to give it back.

"Do some work." Alex stated, a small glare creeping up on his face. He was sick of doing all the work. It was suppose to be a partner revision poster.

"Alex, give me it." Jack sighed in annoyance, his fingers rising up and back down. The pink-haired boy's eyes brightened up a little by the fact he was at least talking to him. But he wasn't backing away.

"Nope. Not until you do something, because I've been sat here doing my best on this poster. Doesn't it occur to you that we have finals soon? Or does nothing occur to you?" Alex snapped at the end, stuffing Jack's phone in his pocket with a slight smirk. The change on Jack's face made him regret taking the phone. His face went slightly red, his eyebrows narrowing, and his jaw was clenched. Then he broke.

"Fucking give my phone back, right now!" He raised his fist at Alex, and said boy just stared at Jack, a daring look on his face.

"Go on, punch me." Alex's eyes flickered to Jack's held up, tight fist, before staring back into Jack's angry eyes. They continued to stare at each other, not noticing some people had turned around to watch because they heard Jack's angered voice.

Jack sighed, bringing his fist down with defeat. He couldn't hurt Alex, even if he didn't want anything to do with him anymore. He held his hand out once more.

"Just give me it." He said softly, his head ducked down, not wanting to reach Alex's eyes.

"Are you gonna do some work? I've done most of it." Alex asked, his eyebrow lifting up a little. Jack's fist curled up again.

"You're not my fucking mother! You know what? Fucking keep the phone. Keep it!" He got up angrily, pushing people who were in his way, and walked out the classroom door.

"Who just walked out?" The teacher asked from where his head was in the papers he brought in.

"Barakat, sir!" Someone called. Alex groaned, shaking his head and continued to work on the almost-competed work, pushing Jack from out of his head
