(Four Months Later)

"JACK!" I yelled from my spot on the couch. He popped his head from around the doorway that leads into the kitchen, and he raised his eyebrows at me. I pointed to the coffee table in which my feet were perched. Jack followed my finger with his eyes, and he let out a sigh as a smile spread on his face.

"You're so lazy, babe," he chuckled. I grinned as he approached the coffee table, bending down and grabbing the television remote off the surface. He handed it to me and I took it eagerly.

"I'm not lazy, I just didn't want to put the effort into grabbing it," I said with a shrug, and Jack laughed with a shake of his head.

"That's a definition of being lazy," Jack chuckled, and I shook my head.

"Not the exact definition," I said, and Jack rolled his eyes. He pressed a kiss to my lips and returned to the kitchen.

"I love you!" I yelled after him, and I heard a faint chuckle in response. I looked down at the remote in my left hand and hit the guide button, and I started to surf the channels, looking for nothing in particular, just something other than Pawn Stars.

Of course, I found nothing good, so I ended up turning the television off. I heaved myself off the couch and steadied myself before walking forward and into the kitchen where Jack was preparing dinner.

"Hey darling," Jack said softly, looking up at me from his spot behind the counter. I sat down at the table and took a deep breath.

"Hi," I said, "how long until dinner?"

"A while. Are you too hungry to wait?" He asked, concern laced in his tone. I looked up at him and smiled softly.

"I can wait. Where's Jackie?" I asked.

"In her room. I put her down for a nap hours ago," Jack replied as he started seasoning a chicken. I nodded and stood up once more. I walked into the living room and stood at the foot of the stairs.

"Oh hell no," I muttered. I ran a hand through my hair and sighed, not wanting to climb those stairs.

"It's okay, Becca. I got her," Jack said from behind me, and he jogged up the stairs. I shrugged. I felt bad, because Jack's been doing so much for me since he found out we're having a baby together. Of course, I love that he's been so helpful, but I feel that he's over doing himself.

He came back down with Jackie, her small hand in his big one as she rubbed her eyes with the other.

"Jack, you really-"

"Shush. Yes I did. I don't want you to strain yourself, okay?" He asked as they both finished descending the stairs. I looked down at Jackie and smiled at her, then I looked back up at Jack.

"Okay," I sighed, and Jack took my hand and pulled me into his arms. Jackie ran over to the couch, leaving me and Jack standing there alone.

"I love you, Rebecca. And I can't wait until this little bean gets here. Only three more months," he said quietly, placing a hand on my belly. I placed my hand on top of his and my bottom lip quivered slightly.

"I love you too, Jacky," I whispered.

I wrapped both of my arms around his neck and we stood there for a while just hugging.

Eww this is short :P I might have to put the new story on hold and push the date back farther with how slow I'm updating. & there might be more than sixty six chapters, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

In other news, my kindle is still destroyed, and it might be for a few more months- probably until Christmas or my birthday (which is the third of January). So I have no idea on what's gonna be happening.
