Chapter Forty-Four: Miss Jackson
I woke up on Saturday to the sound of someone knocking on the front door.
I groaned & got out of bed slowly, stretching my tired muscles out. After stretching, I made my way downstairs while putting my hair up into a messy bun, not really expecting anyone at ten AM. I opened the door, & there stood a man unknown to me.
"Uh.. hi," I said. He smiled at me.
"Hi. I'm here to plan a wedding for Miss Mayes & Mr. Barakat," he said. My eyes widened. I'd totally forgotten about the wedding planner.
"Oh! Yes. Please, come in. Could you wait on the couch while I change into something?" I asked as I closed the door behind him.
"I can," he said with a small smile, & I jogged up the stairs. I closed the bedroom door behind me & rushed myself, stripping out of my pajamas & into a pair of skinny jeans and one of Jack's 'JAGK' shirts. I hurried into Jackie's room & woke her up, helped her into a dress, & I carried her downstairs.
"So sorry. I forgot you were coming today," I said apologetically as I set Jackie down. She sat as far away from him as she could, & I sat next to her.
"It's totally fine. My name is Jordan," he said. I smiled.
"It's nice to meet you, Jordan. I'm Rebecca, & this is my daughter Jackie. I'd have you meet Jack, but sadly, he's not here," I said.
"That's okay. Will I meet him soon?" Jordan asked.
"Yes. Next month, actually," I said.
"Next month? What's he doing?" Jordan asked. I smiled.
"He's in a band. Currently, he's on tour," I said. Jordan nodded.
"That's way cool! Well, congratulations on the engagement! Now, let's get planning," he said, & he rubbed his hands together. He opened a binder he brought in with him, & I moved closer, Jackie following me.
~~
Jordan stayed for an hour. We didn't make anything official, because I did want Jack's approval, but Jordan was kind enough to mark it in the binder for me. A lot of the things that were marked were some of the same items, just different colors, shapes, & sizes.
This was gonna take awhile.

Chapter Forty-Four!
Title Cred: Panic! At The Disco
Wow. Short much? Anyway, I just got back from Monterey not too long ago, & I'm kind of exhausted from sitting in the car for three hours. The trip was definitely shit, I can tell you that. But, Monterey was beautiful.
