You Had Me At Hello

"So..um..yeah, that's Green Day" I said, ending Holly and I's presentation. The class clapped.
"That was really good, girls" Mr Hastie smiles at us as we closed down our power point. "I think that'll be it for presentations today, you can now just talk amongst yourselves" he announced and the class cheered. Holly and I walked up to the guys, there wasn't any seats near them so I just sat on Jack's knee.
"Do you mind?" He laughed, poking my ribs
"Nope" I smiled, wrapped my arms around his neck and hugged him
"Young love" Kevin sighed, making everyone burst into laughter. "So, who are you guys taking to the dance?" He asked everyone.
"I've not asked" Alex said, glancing at Holly. He looked at me and I winked, he just shook his head while smiling.
"Neither've I" Zack said. Turns out, no one except Kevin had asked.
"Who you taking?" Rian and Jeremy said at the same time, before first bumping each other
"Jennifer" he smirked.
"You mean the cheerleader that listens to decent music and actually talks to people classed as emos?" Shelnutt asked, shocked. Kevin nodded.
"You drugged her, didn't you?" Neil asked seriously. Kevin just laughed.
"I didn't drug her. I just asked her and she said yeah. No biggy, you guys better get dates though" he nodded at everyone.
"I know, Jacko. You don't have a date yet" I smiled at him. He stuck his tongue out at me.
"Do I not, no?" He laughed and I shook my head. "Alexander William Gaskarth, will you go to the dance with me?" He asked Alex
"Of course I will, Jack" Gaskarth smiled.
"I don't think you two would be a nice couple" Josh said seriously, he obviously didn't get the joke so we played along.
"Well we don't care. Lex, come to me" Jack pushed me off his lap and pulled Alex into a hug, everyone groaned and threw pillows at them, laughing.
"Holly, would you go to the dance with me?" I asked Holly.
"Yes, I will" Holly smiled. I opened my arms and she came and hugged me. I kissed her cheek and laughed at the guys' faces. "What about us, Josh. Would we be a nice couple?" Holly joked. Josh looked at us and though for a moment.
"Yeah. I think you would" he nodded. "Guys?" He asked, everyone nodded except Zack, Alex and Jack.
"I'm sorry. I can't do this Alex. I need womanly love in my life" Jack said, pushing Alex off his lap and walking over to Holly and I. He lifted Holly up and put him on Gaskarth's knee before sitting on mine. "Will you go to the dance with me?" He smiled, holding my hand. I nodded and kissed his cheek.
"Can you get off me now, you're heavy" I laughed. He stood up and we switched places. We all turned round to Alex and Holly but the bell for lunch rang.

*Holly's P.O.V*

We were messing about in music today and Jack carries me into Alex's lap. We were all talking about the fall dance and I was secretly hoping he's ask me, Alex not Jack! Everyone turned to face Alex and I and the bell rang for lunch. I immediately stood up.
"Hey, can I speak to you for a bit?" Alex asked me as I grabbed my bag.
"Sure" I smiled. "I'll get you in there" I told Rebecca as she left with the guys to sit in the cafeteria. "what's up, Alex?" I asked as we walked out music together.
"Umm...I was kinda hoping that you'd. No, wait. I was going to ask you if you wanted to go to the dance with me?" He said, not looking at me while he spoke.
"Of course I will, Alex" I smiled and his face shot up. He looked me right in the eye and smiled too
"Really?" He asked. I nodded and his face lit up. He grabbed me in a hug and took my hand and we walked into the cafeteria.

"He did it!" Rebecca shouted as she seen Alex and I walk in hand in hand. She stood up, so did the rest of the guys, and started clapping and cheering. My face turned red as we walked up to the table they sat at. As soon as I got there I smacked Rebecca's shoulder and laughed.
"You're such an embarrassment" I smiled.
"I know" she smiled back. "That's why I'm loved" she winked and stole a fry from Jack's tray. He tried to hit her hand away but he already had it.
"So, Alex. How does it feel to have finally grown a pair?" Shelnutt asked Alex as we sat down.
"Do you have a date?" Alex smirked and Shelnutt shook his head. "Precisely" Alex laughed and smiled at his friend.
"I'm gonna go all Golden Eagle and get someone though" Shelnutt laughed, causing every one of us to laugh too.

*Rebecca's P.O.V*

"Did you find out what was up with May?" Jack asked me as we walked home.
"Yeah, she told me not to tell you though" I bit my lip nervously
"What?" He asked, confused.
"She told me not to tell you" I repeated
"She's my sister, I should be able to hear why she's upset" Jack said, annoyed.
"It's not like I don't want to tell you, Jack. May told me not to" I defended myself
"Still. I've known her all my life and tell her everything and you've known her for a few months. Big difference there" he snapped
"Wow. What the fuck Jack?" I let go of his hand and stopped walking. "She told me that she didn't want you knowing yet. I can't help that" I snapped at him, getting annoyed myself. "Why are you so annoyed about it?" I asked him.
"Because she's my sister and some dick was making her cry. I want to know why so I can talk to her, you're not always with her, Rebecca" he said
"All you need to know just now is that some dick was making her cry. You're acting like she'll never tell you, what' the big deal?" I asked
"The big deal is that May is my sister and I should be the one she tells her problems to instead of my girlfriend. That's fucked up!" He raised his voice
"Well if it's fucked up why are we doing this?" I raised my voice too, tears forming in my eyes
"What? Why are we arguing? You have been here the full time, listening haven't you?" He said, still snapping at me.
"Fuck this, Jack" I shouted and walked home myself, letting the tears fall.
"Rebecca. What's wrong?" Zack asked me worried as I got in.
"Jack and I had a fight" I sniffed and he pulled me into a hug while I cried.
"Shh. It'll be okay" he said, trying to comfort me
"How will it, Zack? I don't know if its just a fight or if its worse" I pulled out of the hug and walked into the living room. I seen all the guys and I ran upstairs to my room.

"Becca?" Gaskarth knocked on my door.
"Fuck off" I said into my pillow.
"No, I won't" he said. I heard my door open and then close. Alex came and sat on my bed. "What's up?" He asked me, rubbing circles on my back
"Jack and I had a fight but I don't know if it's serious or not" I cried into my pillow. He pulled me up into a hug and held me as I cried. "May told me something and she doesn't want Jack to know yet. That's what our fights about" I told Alex. 'I don't know how bad it is between us. I mean I love him, Alex. What do I do?" I said in between sobs.
"It was just one argument, Rebecca. You guys'll be fine, you just need to calm down a bit" he rocked me backwards and forwards. "Would it be crazy if I said I miss him already?" I asked Alex, quietly.
"Nope. I know how you feel, you'll get him back though" Alex reassured me. I swear I heard him sniff and seen him wipe his eyes but I didn't say anything to him about it. We just sat, him comforting me, till I fell asleep.
