You Had Me At Hello

"Rebecca. Answer your phone" Jack mumbled as Alex's ringtone on my phone filled Jack's bedroom.
"Uhh. Can't we just leave it?" I turned round to face Jack who was lying with his eyes shut
"He won't give in. He'll end up coming round, you know that" Jack slightly smiled. I sighed and leaned over Jack to get my phone off his bedside table.
"What?" I asked into the phone
"Rebecca! Hi, sorry. Did I wake you?" He asked, he sounded very very hyper. Fuck.
"No. I'm always yawning and talking with a morning voice during the day" I sarcastically said, which made Jack chuckle. "What's up?" I asked him
"Were you up all night fucking him? Its like half eleven, why are you guys not up?" Alex laughed. I covered the phone with my hand and turned to Jack
"I'm so going to kill you" I smiled which made him laugh, finally opening his eyes. "Okay. What did you want Alexander?" I asked Alex again
"Would Holly say yes if I asked her to the fall dance?" he asked
"There's a fall dance?" I said, confused. Jack smiled innocently at me
"There is. Do you think she'd say yes?" He asked again
"Probably. Ask her on Monday" I smiled.
"Okay. Thanks Rebecca. I'll let you go now so you can fuck Jack some more" Alex laughed then hung up.
"I swear. I will kill that boy" I said, putting my phone on the table again and lying beside Jack. He kissed my forehead and we eventually fell asleep.

I woke up about an hour later, I looked beside me and seen an empty space where Jack should've been. The smell of pancakes suddenly filled the room so I decided I'd go downstairs. I walked into the kitchen to see Jack, making pancakes and May, who was sitting in tears. "May, what's wrong?" I asked her, immediately running to her and grabbing her in a hug.
"Justin" she cried into me. I looked up at Jack and he shrugged sympathetically.
"You want to talk about it?" I asked her and she shook her head.
"Not right now at least" she said, sitting up and wiping her tears.
"Here. At least have some food" Jack smiled at his older sister, pushing a plate of pancakes in front of her.
"Do I really want to eat them if you made them?" she weakly smiled.
"And, there's my sister" he laughed, going over to hug her. "Becca, Alex and I need to finish off our presentation so I was planning on going round to his later. That cool with you?" He asked me
"You don't need to ask me, Jack" I smiled at my boyfriend. "I would like some food though" I winked at him. He sighed, playfully, and went to make me pancakes. "Want me to stay with you for a while, May?" I asked her and she nodded.
"Yeah, please. I'm going to go shower just now, anyway" May said and stood up, leaving the kitchen. Jack gave me a weak smile as she left.
"I'll look after her Jack" I walked round to him.
"I know" he wrapped his arms around me. "I've just never seen her like that"
"I'll talk to her and maybe she'll feel better" I suggested
"Thanks, Becca. I love you" Jack smiled and kissed me
"I love you too" I smiled. "But what I don't like is burnt pancakes" I stuck my tongue out at him and he laughed.
"I'm not a slave" he smiled as he cooked me breakfast
"Whatever you say" I smiled back at him, making him laugh again.

"Okay. Tell me about it" I said to May as I slumped down on her bed. We were having a girls day so I just stayed in my pyjamas.
"So, you know I went to Justin's last night" May said and I nodded. "I went over and his room mate answered the door. He tried to say Justin wasn't in but I told him that he'd invited me over and told me to come over at this time. So he eventually let me in and we were just sitting in the living room, talking and laughing when Justin comes out of his bedroom with his arm around this girl" May told me, her voice was shaking as she got to the last bit. "I asked him what was going on and he didn't say anything. He let the other girl out and then went back into his room, not saying anything to me. His room mate, Michael, told me everything that was going on between them. Michael said he wanted to tell me but he was going to let Justin do all his own explaining and he never. He let me sit with him for a while then he drove me home, you guys were asleep when I came in" she eventually got out, speaking through her tears.
"May, I. What a fucking douche. Where does he live? Let me go speak to him" I said, anger building in me. May was the first girl in Baltimore I got on with, sure she was twenty one and I was seventeen but she was one of my best friends.
"I don't want any drama, Becca. Thanks though" she weakly smiled at me.
"No, May. I need to find out why the fuck he did it. Tell me the address, please. I won't tell Jack but I'll ask him for Justin's address" I told her.
"Fine" she gave in and wrote his address on a piece of paper. "Please don't tell Jack. Not yet, at least" she said and I nodded.
"I won't. Come on, lets watch something" I said and we had a Pretty Little Liars marathon.

It's short, I know. Its just a little filler though, next chapter will be longer. I promise:)!

Do any of you know how hard it is to pretend to be happy for someone? Yeah, that's what I'm kinda feeling the now. I like this boy and like the last few times I've hung out with him it felt like he was acting like he liked me back but then he got a girlfriend. It fucking sucks. I mean, I won't do anything because his girlfriend is a nice person but I'm just feeling shit cause he was asking me if I was going to concerts he was going to and he seemed genuinely disappointed when I said I wasn't and shit like that. What do I do? Any advice?
