Sick Little Games

Jack POV:

Why the fuck did I just do that? How fucking dumb could I get? I quickly dropped my smile and turned my stare back into its usual hard stare. I couldn't drop my act, I can't ruin my own reputation.
"Why are your eyes all puffy, fag?" Alex's eyes widened with fear and I couldn't help but feel bad for it. I immediately wanted to apologise. His hands started to treble. The bell sounded, signalling the start of the day.
"Come on then if you've still got to follow me around." Alex just sat there, staring down at the table.
"Are you coming or what?" I growled at him. I looked down at his hands, they were shaking now, not just trembling. His breathing was quick and shallow, his face rapidly growing paler. Fuck, he's having a panic attack. I walked out the room hearing Rian yell after me.
"For fucks sake, Jack. You're fucking unbelievable."
"Tell me about it." I muttered under my breath as I turned towards Geography.

Alex's POV:

He fucking smiled at me! I wanted to cry, from both happiness because my fucking crush smiled at me, and from anger that my bully has just had a complete personality change and has just been fucking nice to me. His smile dropped and his stare turned cold. I knew it wouldn't last long.
"Why are your eyes all puffy, fag?" I couldn't believe it. Fear overwhelmed me. I felt my hands start to tremble, my bottom lip started to quiver. I bit it, not showing Jack that his words affected me. He kept staring at me, making me feel an inch tall. My legs started bouncing. My vision started to blur. Fucking hell, not now. Please not now. The room started to spin as I felt my breathing quicken and become shallow. There was no stopping it now. I couldn't hear anything. I vaguely saw people stand up and walk out of the room. Everything was a complete blur. Nothing made sense. My head was pounding, it felt like it was going to explode. I saw Jack's mouth moving but I heard no sound. My eyes darted around the room in a desperate attempt to stay conscious. I see Jack start to move out of the room before everything turns to black.

Someone was carrying me. Whoever it was was strong, but comforting. He smelt strongly of coffee and aftershave. I opened my eyes and looked around. I was being carried through the halls of the school. I turned my head to look at the person carrying me. I recognised him as Jack's friend Rob? No. Ray? No. Rian? Ahh, that's it.

Rian's POV:

Sometimes I really cannot believe Jack. He's a great friend but he really needs to stop with this. Jack's never never been homophobic. Never. His fucking brother is gay! I had to help Alex out. I knew exactly what had happened to him. He doesn't deserve any of this. I picked him up bridal style and set off to the nurses office.

I hadn't been paying much attention to the passed out boy in my arms. This school is huge so it'll take at least ten minutes to get there. I felt Alex start to stir in my arms. He looked around for a while, confusion etched on his face.
"Hey, dude. How're you feeling?"
"Like shit." I had to chuckle at his reply, his British accent only adding to the humour.
"Don't worry about Jack. He's gonna get so much shit from me later, he wont know what hit him."
"You don't have to do that, Rian. Honestly, it's nothing that I'm not already used to." I looked down at him for that comment and stopped walking. "I can walk as well, you know?" I realised that I was still carrying him and put him down.
"Alex, what did you mean when you said you were used to it?" He sighed, I knew this was a delicate matter but, hey, I'm curious.
"I was, um, b-bullied a lot a-at my old school back in England so m-my mum and I moved out here t-to get away from it." I knew that wasn't the full story, he was definitely hiding something else.
"Sorry to hear that, dude. Are you okay now? I was going to take you to the nurses office because you were passed out but, well, you're standing in front of me." There was no point in taking him now, the nurse would only complain anyway.
"Uhh, no. I'll be fine, thanks though." He looked down at his feet, shuffling from one foot to another.
"Listen, Alex, why don't you come round to my place after school? Cass will be there, she knows what happened last Monday. I'm sorry about that, by the way." He bit his lip in thought, obviously having a mental battle.
"Sure, why not?"
"Awesome, meet me by the gates after last bell." With that, I walked away. I had a plan, and this was going to work. I pulled out my phone as I headed off to French. I opened the messages app and tapped on Jack's contact.
Hey, buddy.
Wanna come round to mine after school?
I hit send, shoving my phone into my back pocket of my jeans. I felt it buzz about a minute afterwards. I pulled it out, smiling at Jack's name that was displayed on my screen. I opened it up and read what he replied.
Sounds good, just like old times, eh?
My plan was working. All the pieces to the puzzle were there, they just had to fit together.
