Alex Gaskarth is new at Dulaney High. Alex is just your standard, quiet sixteen year old boy...on the surface, that is. Underneath his fake smile Alex is broken and weak. This is all thanks to one boy: Jack Barakat.

Jack Barakat is your token ladies-man. He's cocky, outgoing and he's not ashamed to say what he thinks, especially towards the quiet boy who caught his eye from the moment he stepped through the main entrance doors early on the first day back.

As the school year continues on, Jack suddenly has a change of heart...what will happen when Alex discovers Jack's true feelings?
