Sick Little Games

Alex's POV:

We walked back from the beach once the air turned a little chilly. Our fingers were intertwined, like a puzzle that fit perfectly together. I still had one more surprise up my sleeve for Jack though...and personally, I couldn't wait for it.
It didn't take us long to walk back to Jack's house. We climbed the few steps up to his porch just as the moon started to cast ghostly shadows on every surface outside. To some, seeing shadows move around you at night, whilst walking along a quiet road might seem a little unnerving but to me, it was beautiful. I took in every detail around me, noting how the trees swayed slightly in the breeze, making the shadows dance across pretty much every surface. Jack pushed the door open to his home and slipped his shoes off, me doing the same.
"I'm going to go shower because I have sand in places sand should not be."
Jack cringed slightly as he reminded himself of the tiny particles in unwanted places. I chuckled.
"Too much information, Jay."
"You want to come with? Maybe we could have a little...fun."
Jack winked as he ended his sentence. He's so subtle...not.
"Actually, nah, I'll pass. I'll order a pizza though, yeah?"
Jack smiled and nodded before running, slightly awkwardly, up the stairs up to the bathroom. Jack normally takes a while to shower but with the promise of pizza on its way, I knew he wouldn't be long so I knew I had to work fast.

I heard the bathroom door click shut and the water turn on; Jack was in the shower now. I ordered the pizza, having only around twenty minutes before it arrived. I took all the cushions off the sofa in the living room and laid them out on the floor, making a make-shift mattress. I grabbed four dining chairs from the table in the kitchen and set them in a square in front of the sofa. I grabbed all the blankets from around the room and the remaining few from the cupboard beneath the stairs. I draped the biggest one over the back of the sofa and over the first two chairs, creating a canopy. A draped the other blankets over the other chairs, creating a sort of roof above the sofa cushions. I left one blanket inside the little space below the blanket fort for us both to curl up underneath if it got cold. Now for the next thing on the agenda: movies.
I grabbed an X-Box controller and turned on Netflix, finding Home Alone in the favourites menu. I turned it on to the opening credits and paused it. I stood back from the fort, admiring my own craftsmanship. It was fairly good, even if I do say so myself. I knew that we'd have pizza but we needed something to snack on during the movie. I grabbed a bag of toffee popcorn from the kitchen and grabbed two cans of Monster. Tonight will be perfect.

The doorbell sounded, as Jack came bounding down the stairs, his hair still damp and lying flat against his forehead. He had his glasses perched on his nose, making his nose seem a little bigger, but it worked. He looked fucking adorable. I answered the door, receiving the pizza from the slightly bored looking pizza boy. Jack went to go and get plates.
"Lex? Why are there four chairs missing from in here?"
I tapped my nose and smirked as Jack emerged through the kitchen door, looking confused as he walked towards me with the plates in hand. I took the plates from him.
"Stay here for one second, okay?"
Jack nodded and stood rooted to the spot, his eyebrows drawn together in confusion. I set the pizza down in the fort and dimmed the lights in the room so the only light in the room was coming from the glow of the TV and the natural glow of the moon.
"Come on, Jay."
I crawled inside the fort and waited for Jack. I heard the door creak open, hesitant footsteps following shortly afterwards.
"Holy shit, Lex!"
Jack crawled into the fort to meet me, immediately crashing his lips onto mine. I wasn't expecting that reaction but whatever.The kiss was slow, sweet and full of passion. It was perfect.
"You look really cute with your glasses on." I mumbled against his lips.
Jack only hummed in response. I pulled back shortly afterwards, my stomach needing food.
"Come on, let's eat. Oh and I've put Home Alone on."
Jack squealed in excitement at the mention of Home Alone. I chucked at his child-like behaviour but I don't think I'd have him any other way.
"I love you, Lex. Today has been perfect, thank you."
"My pleasure, Jay. I love you too."

We'd just finished our pizza as the Kevin woke up to an empty house. I found it adorable how Jack was say the lines along with Kevin. Even though he's probably seen that film well over two thousand times, he always seemed to get lost in the plot and his reactions were always similar to those of a person who had never seen, or heard of, the film before. I wasn't really paying attention to the film, I was content on just watching Jack. I love this boy with my entire heart. He's my everything.
"Stop staring, Lex. I know I'm beautiful and all that but you're going to catch flies."
Jack snapped me out of my little daydream.
"But I can't help it. You're wearing glasses, your hair isn't styled and you're mouthing along to literally every word. And you are correct, you are beautiful."
Jack looked down, obviously trying to hide his embarrassment.
"Shut up, Lex."
I smirked but stayed silent, turning my attention back to the two robbers slipping on the ice. Jack snuggled up into my side, pulling the blanket over both of our legs. I nestled my head in the crook of his neck, breathing in his scent. It was totally indescribable but it was so addicting. It was like my drug. Jack was my drug. Jack is my drug.
"I love you, Jack, never forget that, okay?"
"I love you too, and I won't forget it as long as you don't forget that I love you too, deal?"
"Deal."
Another comfortable silence fell between us. I felt my eyelids getting heavier. I kept drifting in and out of conciousness, trying my best to stay awake to see the end of the film. I gave in, knowing what happens anyway from the countless times Jack and I had watched it before. Jack's arm was wrapped protectively around my waist, holding me into him. I wrapped my arms around his torso before relaxing into his side, sleep taking over my body.
