This Ones Different

*Jack POV*

*Knock Knock*

“Rian! It’s Jack I need your help!”

*Knock Knock*

“Please I thi-“

“What going on? Are you okay?”

I walked into Rian’s house and sat on his couch uninvited.

“I just need you to answer some questions” Rian sat in the seat across from me.
“S-Sure, Anything, What are the questions?”
“What is my relationship with Alex?”
Rian looked surprised by my question, a little confused too.

“Well umm… Alex is your best friend; He was your friend before you met any of us. You and Alex clicked immediately, best friends from since the beginning.”

“Yeah I know that, I know about the friendship but I’m asking what my relationship status with him is?”

Rian eyes grew wide, he seamed nervous and uncomfortable with the things I was asking him.

“What did Alex tell you?”
“No Rian, it doesn’t matter what Alex told me. I what to know what you have to say”
Rian rubbed the back of his neck

“Jack I don’t feel com-“
“Rian… Tell me, everything”
“Okay, Okay. I’ll tell you, just tell my one thing” I nodded
“Did Alex tell you about the… Love thing?”
“Yes he told me about the love thing! I KNEW HE WAS IN LOVE WITH ME!”

“HE TOLD YOU!? Jack please just listen!”

“No Rian! Alex tried to convince me that I loved him; I knew he was hiding something from me! I found out why he wouldn’t tell me anything about us being together! I found out why he wouldn’t help me with my most recent memories!”

“Jack! Alex didn’t mean to hurt you!”
“Rian he lied! He lied so he could get what he wanted!”
“Alex didn’t want any of this to happen!”

“I don’t get it? If he wanted me to be with him then why didn’t he just push me in the direction? Like small flirting, instead he punched me in the face with true love.”

“He just didn’t want you to hate him.”
“I don’t have him, I get it he loves me and I didn’t love him back so when he saw a chance to change my mind, he took it.”

“Whoa whoa whoa… What? You rejected Alex!?”

“Yeah, he lied to me and tried to tell me I loved him.”
“Jack... You do love him, you have loved him for like… 4 years!”

“W-What?”

“Jack you have loved Alex for so long, Alex rejected you. It took Alex awhile to figure out his feelings for you. He rejected you and then found out that he really did love you. When Alex rejected you it broke your heart. He doesn’t want you to remember him rejecting you because he doesn’t want you to remember him hurting you.”

Rian’s from door flew open. “Rian! Jack has-“ the voice stopped shouting and I looked up. It was Alex staring at me, terrified. Alex didn’t say anything. He tired to open his mouth but nothing would come out. I broke the silence.

“Y-You rejected me?...”
Alex blinked his eyes confused and shocked. Then laid his eyes on Rian giving him the death stair.
I remember now… I’m pretty sure I remember that night. All I remember is Alex telling me how wrong it was and him running out…. That’s it…


“You told him!!” Alex yelled at Rian

“He thought you were trying to trick him! He needed to know the truth about you!”

“I’m going to FUCKING KILL YOU!!”

Alex jumped on top of Rian and started wailing punches at him.

“You know I never meant for it to end that way!”
Alex kept punching Rian, Rian punching back trying to get Alex off of him.

“Alex stop!” I yelled. Honestly don’t know what to do. Alex looks like a monster!

“I even tried to save him! I love him!”

Rian punched Alex in the face and Alex fell backwards off of Rian. Rian jumped on top of Alex and pined him down.

“Alex stop it! I just told Jack that he really does love you and you’re not tricking him!”
Alex was kicking his legs trying to break free from Rian’s grip.

“You fucking told him that I rejected him!” Alex still kicking
“I told him what he needed to know! That’s as far as I got!”

Alex spit in Rian’s face

“Alex you fucking pig!” I shouted

Alex stopped kicking and turned his head. Rian looked over at me too surprised.

“W-What?” Alex said

“You heard me. You fucking pig! This isn’t Rian’s fault. This is your fault and you’re trying to blame Rian! This happen because you lied! And when you had a second chance to tell me the truth you fucking lied to me again! When are you going to learn your lesson!”

“Y-You remember?”

“I remember that one night and that’s it! I may not know everything but I know you lied to me! When are you going to stop lying to me?”

“Jack I-“

“Save it, Save your excuse for someone else because I’m done with being lied to. When you are ready to tell me the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Call me.”
I opened Rian’s door

“Jack wait!”

I walked out side and shut the door. I started walking down the quite street wondering what is going to happen next.
Let’s see if history repeats itself

I walk this empty street, on the Boulevard of Broken Dreams.
