The City Comes Alive When We're Together

New Home

After the last couple weeks of packing, we are finally ready to pick up the furniture and take it to our new home. Let me add that Megan has only packed all of the light weighted stuff and left me with the heavier stuff. Which I honestly can't blame her considering she's 33 weeks along. I probably wouldn't even allow her to carry anything heavy if she asked.
When we pull up to the furniture store, I help Megan out of the car as the guys get out and walk up to the front of the store. We walk into the store and up to the customer service counter.
"Hey, we're here to pick up our new furniture." I say to the associate. After I fill out the papers and tell them who I am, they tell us to pull the car behind the building. Megan, Rian, Zack and I follow the associate to the back of the building while Alex pulls the car around. After a couple trips to the store and back, all of the furniture is at our new home and placed in the proper rooms. We head back home to my parents to get our boxes.
"How'd it go?" My mother asks us.
"Fine, all the furnitures there. We're coming to get the boxes now." I tell her.
"Oh, Megan's not doing a lot of hard work is she?" She asks me concerned.
"Of course not. I've been making her stay away from anything heavy or strenuous." I answer. Megan and I head upstairs and start to grab boxes. I continue to make absolutely sure Megan carries only light weight boxes.
After yet another few trips and a couple hours of time flown by, all of the boxes are at our new home and we're officially moved in. We start unpacking the important things, kitchen appliances, clothes, hygenic needs, what have you. By the time we get all of those things unpacked, we go upstairs to our new room and lay on our new bed. I look over and see Megan trying to keep herself awake.
"You tired babe?" I ask her smiling.
"A little, yeah." She laughs under her breath. "I've had a long day. I know I didn't move anything much, but I did have to carry a baby around all day. I need sleep."
"Agreed." I smile. "You want to eat first?"
"Yes, please." She answers. We decide to go out and get dinner somewhere decent since we have yet to go grocery shopping, which we end up doing after dinner, along with buying a few things that we were missing for the home. After all of the shopping, we finally head home and to bed since we both desperately need it.

Comments

@backseat serenader I'm sorry :( This specific story will probably be finished up today, but I plan to maybe make a 2nd book to it, almost like a sequel. :) I promise to let all of you know when I post it!
