The City Comes Alive When We're Together

Wedding

*Megan*
A month has passed and I am now 37 weeks along. So only 3 more weeks till Jack and I will be parents. I have no amount of words to explain how excited I am for my daughter to be here already.
Also, today is our wedding day. I can't believe this day is actually here. A year ago I would've never pictured myself being in this room today about to walk down the aisle and call Jack my husband. Hell, I didn't even know him a year ago. It's crazy how fast time has flown.
As I'm in the room getting ready, I realize I can't stop smiling. I mean it's hard not to when today is my big day. Even though I am huge from being pregnant, I'm sure I'll still be beautiful anyway. It'll probably make some good stories to tell our daughter in the future.
"It's time." Cassadee smiles as she walks in with my wedding dress that I had picked out, Tay following behind with the stuff to do my hair and Katie with the make up. When I look at the dress I realize how huge it looks, but at least it's only because I'm pregnant right?
I walk into the bathroom to change. Once I am completely dressed I look up in the mirror and smile bigger than I ever could see myself smiling. It was so weird to see me in a wedding dress. I seriously never thought this day would come. I open the bathroom door and walk back into the room where Cassadee, Tay and Katie await my return and instantly they gasp.
"Megan! Oh my God you look so beautiful!" Cassadee squeals running up and giving me a hug.
"I know, don't I?" I laugh.
"Seriously though, Jack is going to love you in that dress." Katie yells. "Come here so we can touch you up with some make up and a hair do." I walk over and sit down on a seat as Tay starts to curl my hair, spraying each individual curl with hairspray while it's still in the curling iron. It wasn't long before all of my hair was curled and the prettiest I've seen it since prom.
Now that my hair is done, Katie starts on my make up. First she puts on blush, which was quick to put on, then starts on eyeshadow. She decides to do an ivory white color to match my dress, perfect choice. As she finishes the eye shadow, she starts to add the finishing touch, eyeliner.
"How do you think your mom will react to this whole thing?" Tay asks me.
"I don't know. She'll probably tear up and end up crying." I laugh. "She's really emotional with this kind of stuff."
"Well, don't blame her. These kinds of things are a big deal." Cassadee says with a serious tone.
"Oh I know, I was just teasing." I smile. As Katie finishes up my eyeliner, I hear a voice.
"Oh my God, my daughter looks so beautiful." My mom yells running up to me and hugging me as tears stream down her face.
"Alright mom, let's not get tears on the dress." I joke.
"I just can't believe you're growing up so fast." My mom says wiping her eyes.
"Well if you think about it mom, I did do things a lot faster this last year than most people do." I tell her reassuringly.
"Good point." We continue to chat to kill time before I get to walk down the aisle.

@backseat serenader I'm sorry :( This specific story will probably be finished up today, but I plan to maybe make a 2nd book to it, almost like a sequel. :) I promise to let all of you know when I post it!
