The City Comes Alive When We're Together
For Baltimore

As I stand alongside the stage and stare at my new engagement ring, I feel tears start to form in my eyes. I swear I will not cry. I can't believe I am going to be marrying Jack.
"Alright, we're going to have short vocal lesson ok?" Alex asks the crowd. "I want every single one of you to sing with me." The crowd cheers.
"La la la la la la la la la." Alex sings in the tone of For Baltimore. He then points out at the crowd, giving them the queue to repeat him. Instantly, he sings, "Mayday situation overload. I'm restless, obsessed with your future." As he continues to sing the song, I stand back here and sing along, and feel tears run down my face. Then the chorus comes.
"I don't wanna say goodnight. The city comes alive when we're together. Why can't Thursday last forever?" I look up and Jack is looking up at me and smiling as he sees me singing along with tears streaming down my face. He then mouths out,
"I love you." in which I respond with 'I love you too.'
"I don't wanna say goodnight. I've never been so sure. Just do it for the memories, and do it for Baltimore." Alex sings. I offically start to bawl my eyes out, but for once they were happy tears. It hasn't even been a full year since I met the guys but so much has happened since I met them and my life is so much better. I don't know where I would be right now without them.
They go through a few more songs and come off stage for a short break before they play Weightless and Dear Maria. As they start to walk back out, Alex stops and walks up to me.
"How would you feel about singing Dear Maria again?" He asks me smiling. "It would be a great surprise to end off the tour."
"Sure, I'll do it!" I yell in excitement. It felt like the right thing to do and I can't wait to rock it with them.
"Alright, go tell Flyzik to get you a microphone and come out on the same queue you had before." He tells me. "See you then." He then runs on stage with the other guys and starts playing Weightless. I walk over to Flyzik and tell him what happened and he leaves to go get a microphone and quickly comes back and hands it to me. We both stand there waiting and waiting for my queue.
After they end Weightless, they say their normal goodbye speech and talk about how they will be back soon, the usual. They start to play Dear Maria and I notice myself starting to shake up. I was nervous to be on stage for the first time since I was first given the opportunity this summer.
"Take a breath and let the rest come easy. Never settle down cause the cash flow leaves me always wanting more." Alex sings, then yelling, "Sing!" as I run onto the stage and sing along with him. I finish the song with my part while the crowd goes insane and the guys finish up the show. As soon as it ends, we all run off stage and head backstage to get packed up.
The rest of the night is spent on the bus while the guys hang outside the bus with fans for a couple hours. Once they were done with that, we head to dinner to celebrate, then straight home afterwards for some great sleep.
