The City Comes Alive When We're Together
Proposal

As they're playing the last song to their set, The Boys You Do (Get Back At You), I realize that I need to go get ready and I look over at Megan.
"I've gotta go get ready hun, will you still be here when I come back?" I asks her.
"Of course." She smiles. I give her a kiss and walk away. I walk backstage and get ready to play the one show that I know from this day on will always be one of my favorites. It wasn't long before we were fully set up and about to walk out.
"Good luck guys." Megan says to us as we are about to walk out.
"You know us." Rian laughs as the lights go out and the crowd cheers insanely. After a few seconds, we walk out causing the crowd to go crazy and start with our song The Reckless And The Brave. We go through our show with the same old behaviors and jokes as we do for every show. We get about halfway through our set and are about to play For Baltimore, one of Megan's favorites. We start making normal jokes, and after a few seconds, I go for what I've wanted.
"So, my beautiful girlfriend is here." I say pointing at her as she stands backstage with a smile.
"And today is her birthday so we want you guys to sing happy birthday to her with us." Alex says. "And you better do it or we will hunt you down." I walk over and grab Megan's hand pulling her on stage.
"Why Jack?" She asks me nervously. "I don't want to go out there."
"Don't worry, you'll be happy about it soon enough." I tell her. After she's on stage, we look at the crowd.
"So, this Megan and we're going to sing to her ok?" I ask the crowd causing them to cheer. "Ok, 1, 2, 3." All 4 of us on stage and the crowd start to sing happy birthday to her and I watch as she covers her face hiding the huge smile behind it. Megan then starts to walk off of stage, and I stop her.
"We're not done with you yet." Alex laughs. "We've got more showing off to do." He then snickers and looks at me and mouths out 'do it.'
"Before we continue anymore, I have a very important question to ask her." I start to explain, but before I can continue the crowd starts to go crazy. "Hang on you motherfuckers, I'm not done." I yell at the crowd to keep them in a good mood. "This is a very important question and I need you all to be extremely quiet ok?"
I then walk over to Megan and pull a box out of my pocket. Before I get a chance to do anything else the crowd starts cheering. I get down on one knee and reveal the ring to Megan and instantly her face lights up and I can tell she's trying not to cry.
"Megan Reid, will you marry me?" I ask her loud enough for her to hear over the crowd. She then nods.
"Yes, Jack I will marry you." She starts to tear up, still doing everything to hold back tears. I stand up and give her a tight hug and a kiss while the crowd still cheers like crazy.
"Just so you all know, she said yes." I yell as Megan walks back to the side of the stage with a huge smile on her face. I notice that she keeps looking down at the ring then covers her mouth and still tries not to cry.
"Well, we all know who's getting laid tonight." Alex laughs. "And it may or may not be someone from Baltimore!" The crowd continues to scream and cheer as Alex makes comments that get them going.
