Alex
Why in the hell was he here?! He was supposed to be suspended, at least that's what I thought. He looked awful; bags under his bloodshot eyes, hair disheveled, and his clothes looked hastily thrown on.
I slowly made my way to my seat, making sure not to take my eyes off the floor. Sliding my way into the seat I took out my notebook and started to take notes.
"Jack..."
He sounded so broken, yet also so relived. I didn't understand, he cares? I glanced at him. The look he had on his face was like a little kid whose puppy was just run over.
"You're... You're okay... Oh thank god. I... I need to explain myself. I understand if you hate me but-"
"Mr. Gaskarth, Something you'd like to say to the class?"
Of course the bitchy teacher overheard us. I sighed as Alex fished for an excuse.
"He was just catching me up on what I've missed. I'm sorry."
She sighed but nodded anyways and turned back to the board. Alex gave me a shocked look and I sighed again.
"Meet me behind the gym at lunch. I'll give you five minutes to explain yourself, after that, you're Cass-chow."
I continued to look at the board but I saw him, out of the corner of my eye, give a relived smile before he nodded.
"Thank you Jack. You wont regret this, I promise."
I better not...
