Time Bomb

I stood there looking at my best friend wearing her second and hopefully her last wedding dress. She decided on a mermaid style dress with a corset bodice to try and hide her baby belly. She smiled at me as I finished the last touches of her make up.
“I’m already more pleased with this wedding. You’re not laying on the floor crying.” I said
“I don’t care that I’m pregnant at this one.” She said.
I just chuckled.
“What changed?” May asked.
“The man. And it helps that my maid of honor is also pregnant.” She said
I smiled and rubbed my belly.
“I was ready, Aspen is five. She’s FIVE.” I said
“Oh trust me I know. Anette is almost fucking eight.” She said
“When did they get so big?” I asked
“It seems like yesterday you were bringing Aspen home from the hospital.” She said
She was right, these past five years had literally flown by. ATL have put out two new albums and they are great, I loved them so much. It was hard when Lex went on tour because Aspen really missed him the first couple of weeks but it was nice to not be in the house alone. I will always have my little mini me.
“Kenz it’s time.” May said
“Lets go have a wedding.” She said
I smiled and we all got into position. I walked down the aisle with Alex of course, Zach had May, and Rian had Anette. Aspen was the little flower girl greeting everyone who was sitting in an aisle seat; it was precious. I looked over at Jack who was impatiently waiting for Mack to walk down, when he was her tears immediately formed in his eyes.
The wedding was absolutely beautiful but I was so excited for our parents to take the kiddos so the guys could drink and I could dance with my best friend at her wedding. Soon we were all sitting down for toasts and Lex had a wicked smile on his face, he hadn’t let me read his speech so I have no idea what’s going to come out of his mouth. He stood up and clinked his knife against his scotch glass.
“Wow.” He said
We all looked at him.
“I never thought in a million years I would be standing here doing this for Jack Barakat. This man right her has been my best friend since high school, he’s never left my side and I know I can always count on him. When I met Ryan and this little shit Kenzie I knew my life was going upside down, but I didn’t know his was going to as well. I’m so happy for these two crazy idiots to be married, he can adopt Anette and then he’s going to have the devil spawn. I can’t believe he and I are going to have the same amount of kids! I can’t believe he’s going to have a kid. So let’s hear it to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Barakat.” He said
We all toasted and Jack slapped him while giving him the biggest hug.
“Jalex! Jalex! Jalex!” Everyone chanted.
“What the hell.” Jack said
He quickly kissed Alex on the mouth and everyone laughed.
I looked over at Aspen who just looked a little confused, I laughed at her and she smiled at me. She was currently missing one of her front teeth.
“I guess its my turn.” I said standing up.
I smoothed out my dress and looked down at Mack.
“Mackenzie is quite literally the most beautiful person I’ve ever met. She is my soul mate in friend form and I don’t know what I’d do without her. This wedding was beautiful and already more successful than the last one. I didn’t have to pick her pregnant ass up off the floor in the dressing room so I’m going to call it a win. This girl, oh what can I say about this girl? She’s amazing, in all forms. I hate her a lot but I love her more, and Jack. Kids cover your ears but Jack if you hurt her I will personally rip off your child bank and shove them down your throat.” I said
Everyone laughed and Mack stood up and hugged me as best as she could with our bellies.
We were living life together like we always did, both happily married and expecting child number two. She was having a boy and god help me we were having another girl. We were still working with the bands, the girls would just come with us and the bands would entertain them while we worked. It was great, when we had get togethers there were so many children now and it was amazing. Vic and Kellin adopted twins one boy and one girl so their family was full and happy. My dad got remarried and it was so great, he’s a great, amazing granddad.
I can’t believe that my once shit life turned into something so amazing and full of love and happiness. I walked over to Alex and folded my pregnant self into his body, he squeezed me and kissed me lightly.
