Me Without You

USA Bound

“Just hold on we’re going home!” Alex sang the as he skipped through the airport, dragging Colussy with him. “Yeah, I got my eyes on you.” He winked at me causing Jack to sigh, wrapping his arm tighter around my waist. “You’re everything I see, I want your hot love and em-“
“Shut it, Skank.” Jack cut Alex off after he had had too much of his flirting. I nudged Jack’s shoulder with my head comfortingly and made sure he knew he was safe with me. I had no plans on going anywhere.
“Party pooper.” Alex frowned before resorting to whistling ‘Always Look on the Bright Side of Life’ which caused him to receive multiple whacks from various members of the crew and screams telling him to shut up. “You still love me, right, Jayse?” Alex cooed as he slid into the seat next to me in the departure lounge. I nodded and let him lean his head on my shoulder as I ran my fingers through his hair. His hand found my stomach and rested it there and I had to release myself from Jack’s ever tightening grip on my hand. I gave him a reassuring smile, knowing that my stomach would be a point of fascination for multiple people for the next six months. We would both have to get used to it.

Flight LA890 to Los Angeles is boarding now.

I used the call as an excuse to escape both Jack and Alex, grabbing my carry-on bag and slinging it over my shoulder. Almost instantly it was snatched away by various hands and I groaned at how none of them believed I could do anything for myself anymore. I didn’t bother arguing and followed the boys onto our plane. The band was leaving tour earlier than most of the other band because I had my twelve week scan back in Baltimore and Jack wanted to be there so rather than having to fly us both out and fly Jack back, Matt cut the tour short.
“I’m not a doll.” I muttered under my breath as Zack trucked my bag down the terminal towards the plane. Jack squeezed my shoulder as I handed my passport to the stewardess.
“We just want to look after you.” He sighed, leading me down the aisle to our seats.
“I’m pregnant, not dying.” I slid into my window seat and flicked my phone off.
“I know.” Jack had heard my complaint millions of times before.
Telling them all to back off, to let me do things for myself, but none of them ever complied. Jack sat down next to me and grabbed my hand as the stewardess ran through the safety information.
“What do you want to do on Monday?” Jack smiled as we taxied on the runway. I shrugged and leaned my head on his shoulder, snuggling down for the trip. “We have to do something.”
“Well I can’t drink so a party is kind of out of the question. I’m not watching everyone around me drink on my birthday.” I sighed. “That’s unfair.”
“What about dinner?” He suggested, planting a kiss in my hair. I shrugged again, nit really keen to do anything on my birthday.
“Can’t we just have a movie night?” Jack nodded and drew pictured on the back of my hand with his index finger.
“Shall we invite everyone over? Do it like we did in high school?” Back in the day we used to host massive movie nights where we’d bunker down and set up all the mattresses in one giant, comfy square with piles of pillows and blankets and we’d fit as many people as possible into that small space.
“As long as we can build a fort.” I smiled at the memories of our high school years. I heard a laugh from behind me as Matt pitched in.
“With pizza.”
“Who said you’re coming, Flyzik?” I teased as Jack flicked through the movies.
“I’ll bring marshmallows.” He sang and I beamed.
“You’re in.” I had to admit, Matt knew the way to my heart.

Welcome to Los Angeles, folks. You may now undo your seatbelts and disembark the aircraft.

I’d never seen Rian move so fast in all my life. Cass was waiting to pick him up apparently and the boy was more than excited to see her. The rest of the band took their time collecting their things and followed the hoard of people Rian had already crashed through out of the plane and through the terminal. We all gagged when we took in the couple wrapped around each other’s faces in the middle of the arrivals hall.
“Oi!” I yelled, trying to grab the attention of my bridesmaid. “Stop sucking face and get back to planning my wedding!” Cass broke away from Rian and ran at me. Well, not at me, it seemed, but at my stomach.
“Oh my god, you have a bump!” Cass squealed and I couldn’t help but roll my eyes.
“Is that all people want me for now? My ever growing stomach?” The entire band and crew nodded and I groaned as we slowly made our way out of the airport to wait the five hours before our connecting flight to Baltimore at Rian's.

Notes

HEY. I'm so sorry I've been slack with the updates but I have a day off school this Friday so I'll plug away and write a bunch so I hopefully won't fall this badly behind again.
Anyway, I hope you enjoying it. This is just a little filler chapter until we get to the good stuff. :)

@Evie
Ahh okay I get it :)

I really hope I didn't sound mean. If I didn't like your story I wouldn't have bothered. I just thought it was good enough for me to point out.

@we-forgot-monday
Hey :) I kind of wanted that to be the point. Jasey seems so perfect and everyone seems to like her so much that her downfall is how possessive she becomes over everyone. How they're her boys and no one else's unless she totally approves of them. I read a lot of fanfiction where the female is 'perfect' in a way and I wanted to try push that in a different way where her perfection and popularity is her downfall. For example, how she can't choose between Alex or Jack but still expects both of them to hang around for her and not move on, which ultimately all comes from her insecurity but we haven't got there yet ;) I'm starting to focus more on that side of the story now as its coming toward the end but I thought I should just put that out there and I'm really do apologise if it's unclear! The story did begin with a lack of character put into Jasey which I'm trying to slowly fix up through both the chapters coming up and the prequel.
Thanks for your comment!

I really don't mean to sound bitchy or mean but why does everyone like Jasey so much? What has she done? She seems kind of perfect, which seems kind of unrealistic. I haven't finished the story yet but does she have any flaws? Also why are they all her boys? Is no other female allowed to be a part of their lives but Jasey? This story is well written and there are certain parts of it that I really like, its just that those things don't really make sense. I really hope I didn't hurt your feelings or anything like that, because I am in no means a perfect writer, but I hope its like constructive criticism.

@Rebecca.Troy
Lets face it, there's never enough drama :)
