Me Without You
End Of Tour.
~One week later~
I sat in Jack’s living room nervously waiting for him to walk through the door. Olivia was sitting looking out the window, watching the cars drive past. I didn’t know why I was so anxious about Jack’s return. I knew that we were announcing the wedding to the fans but I didn’t know how Jack was planning to do it. Jack, who was twenty minutes late. As if on cue, the door burat open, sending Olivia into a frenzy. I jumped up and squealed at Jack as he appeared in the living room and ran to him. I buried my face into his neck as he lifted me up and spun me around.
“I’ve missed you so much.” He mumbled into my hair and I looked up so I could kiss him, unaware of the small camera crew who had gathered in the room.
“Well this is cute.” An unfamiliar voice laughed from behind me. I jumped out of my skin and Jack wrapped an arm around my waist, laughing. I took in the four people who had watched our reunion.
“Jaimee?” I raised an eyebrow at the familiar face from my visits to Alternative Press who was standing before me. “Jack, what are you doing?” I growled him, knowing full well what he had planned.
“Well, if we’re going to announce a wedding, why not go the whole nine yards?” I gave Jack a quick slap and muttered that he was lucky I had got dressed up. “Jay, you’re in a tank top and jeans?” I raised my hands and flopped down on the couch while Jack started to fuss over his dog who was going nuts for his attention.
“I’ve been living in sweats and pyjamas for the past week. This is dressed up.” I laughed as he joined me with the dog and Jaimee pointed to the camera man and directed him on what angle to take. Counting us down I quickly realised that this was going to be a film and run kind of video.
“Hey guys, it’s Jack here. We’re in my house with my dog and my lovely girlfriend Jasey-Rae.” He gave me a quick kiss and felt my cheeks flush. It was quiet for a moment and Jack nudged me, it was obviously my time to talk.
“Uh, well, we have some news for you guys, which you should like. Hopefully. Please like it.” I stuttered, remembering how possessive Hustlers could get. Jack let out a small giggle and wrapped his arm around me and grabbed my hand.
“I took a leap of faith the other day and did something I never really thought I’d do.” I smiled up at him and he gave me a squeeze before continuing. “We thought we’d let you know that I asked Jasey to marry me!”
“I said yes.” I interjected and Jack picked up my hand, showing my ring to the camera. “The wedding will be in October, soon, we know.”
“But we wanted it to be out of the way before I have to start majorly touring again. That was we have time to get used to actually being married before we get thrown into the world of married band life.”
“Please don’t kill me for taking your Princess, but he really is too good to resist.” We waved bye to the camera and Jaimee looked over the footage once before waving bye and taking off with her crew to edit and release the video. I cuddled into Jack’s side, enjoying having him back with me again.
“Are you ready for the apocalypse?” Jack laughed and I groaned, knowing that the moment that video was out my twitter would explode with hate. “You’ll be fine, baby. If it does go to shit, Alex and I will release another video to shut them up. They listen to Alex. Without fail, he always ends the shit.” I smiled at Jack and kissed him. I could deal with the hateful and pissy fans if I could stay with him forever.
~The Next Day~
“Jasey?” I jumped out the shower and threw on a towel when I heard Jack calling my name. “Jasey… you, uh, you have a visitor.” I wasn’t expecting anybody? I yelled that I would be down in a second and quickly threw on a pair of jeans and a plain tank top. I let my hair out of the bun I had scrunched it in so that it wouldn’t get wet and quickly ran a brush through it. Deciding that I was suitable for the general public’s viewing I took the stairs two at a time and jumped that last three to the bottom. The voice floating in from the living room was familiar but the sound was too muffled to place it. I rounded the corner and gaped at the figure chatting to my fiancé. Jack threw me a wide-eyed shrug and I couldn’t break out of staring. I hadn’t seen her in five years. It wasn’t on purpose, but we didn’t part on very good terms and recent revelations have caused me to become less of a fan.
“Hell, Jasey. It was nice of you to inform me that you were getting married.” I sighed and ran a hand through my hair.
“Mom.”
