It'd been around a month now since me and Alex had begun the 'publicity stunt' and surprisingly we both had received barley any hate on the relationship which could only mean that people actually thought that we suit together which was a strange thought. I still felt bad though whenever I saw a fan that I followed defending mine and Alex's relationship to another person saying that 'we are perfect together' because I hated lying to my fans, even though I had no choice I felt so horrible about it.

In the weeks that I had known Alex I had found out that we had a lot in common, we listened to mostly all of the same music, we enjoyed the same type of films the only thing we really did disagree on was books to Alex reading was boring and he'd rather just read a magazine whereas me whenever I had spare time I was reading a book. Alex had also become one of my closest friends, whenever I was upset about something I found myself going to him with my problem mostly because he was a great listener and gave such good advice, he'd also became a real friend I was worried that we would have to pretend to like each other but secretly in fact hate each other but there wasn't a problem at all with that we spent mostly all of our time together even our days off and that was just because we wanted to it was nothing to do with our management. I think I'd made a really good friend in Alex and he was definitely someone I never wanted too loose.

I'd also now met Jack, Rian and Zack who were equally as great guys, I had something majorly in common with all of them with Jack we both shared a great love of the Home Alone films, with Rian we both liked to have shiny, white teeth and with Zack we both loved photography me and Zack even went out by ourselves round London last week just taking loads of pictures of things. Every single one of them was so kind in their own way and I felt like I could talk to any one of them if I was having a problem, they also knew just how to make you feel better if you were in a bad mood, it felt impossible to see them and feel down just because they were so cheerful all of the time and just seeing them put a smile on your face.

Alex, Jack, Rian and Zack had even been staying with me in England at my house so we could all get to know each other better before we left for the tour tomorrow evening, they'd been here now about three weeks and them staying here had there up sides and there definite downsides, an upside was that I never felt lonely because at least one of them was always here but a downside was that my house was never tidy, no matter how many times I cleaned up after them my house was a mess again within a few minutes which was slightly annoying but I guess I didn't mind too much.

I grabbed my phone off of the coffee table, sliding my finger across the bottom to unlock it tapping in my passcode and scrolling through my recent text messages. I only had one from my mum to say that she'd be round later with my little sister to say goodbye to me before I left for the tour. I typed out a quick reply, hitting send then chucking my phone down beside me then returning to the book I had in my hand. I started to read, getting sucked into the book, all distractions around me going silent.

“So what intellectual book are you reading today?” Alex asked said pushing the book cover up so he could see.

My eyes snapped up to look at him a blush forming over my face as a laugh left his mouth because of the book I was reading.

“Robert Pattinson the unauthorised biography, who'd have known you were such a big R-Pattz fan.” Alex said laughing.

“Well I am. At least I read...” I snapped.

“Someone didn't get enough sleep last night. Anyway please tell me you're not going to bring loads of books on tour- actually I forbid it.”

“You can't do that.”

“I'm sure the rest of the boys will agree with me, when you're on our tour you have to have fun, let loose not sit by yourself and read books.” Alex said smirking.

“Fine. But when you join me on my world tour which is longer than your tour, I'm banning you from playing video games since I find them a waste of time and pointless.” I said smiling back.

Alex threw his hands up in defeat “Fine, fine you win you can keep your books.”

“Good.” I muttered before returning to the book.

Alex started to walk out of the living room muttering something about how he was going to go and play video games which were totally not a waste of time or pointless. I laughed for a few seconds before getting lost in the book again, finding my only sense of peace and quiet now that I was alone.

The doorbell rang and I sprung up out of my seat, almost in a run to the front door to open it. I hadn't seen my mum or my little sister in over a month and talking to them on skype or over the phone just wasn't the same. I'd been so busy I hadn't had time to drive an hour and a half to see them so every moment I had with them was something I didn't want to miss out on. I pulled the door open a smile bright on my face as I was instantly flooded with hugs, my little sister clung to my waist whilst my mum had her arms around my neck.

I let them both inside out of the cold, frosty, winter's air and into my overly warm house where they both followed me into the kitchen as I asked them what they wanted to drink.

“Water thanks.” My mum said.

I nodded my head grabbing a glass out of the cupboard and going over to the sink and filling the cup full of water then handing it to my mum. Next I turned to Emily I could already guess what she wanted.

“Hm, I think I already know what you want chocolate milkshake?” I asked her.

Emily nodded her head several times her pigtails flying as she grinned widely. “Yes please you remembered!” Emily asked amazed.

It's amazing how she couldn't remember that I would be able to remember it since she asked for it every single time she came here, but I guess she had only just turned three recently. I went over to the fridge and pulled out the big carton of chocolate milkshake, it wasn't just Emily's favourite it was also mine which was why I always bought so much of it, it was definitely a guilty pleasure since it obviously wasn't that good for you. I grabbed two glasses out of the cupboard one for me and one for Emily and filled them up with the milkshake then I grabbed a bendy straw for Emily's milkshake since that's what she always wanted. I placed the milkshake in front of her on the island top as she swung her legs on the chair since it was so high up which was incredibly cute.

“Hey, I thought you said no one could touch your milkshake!” Alex said pouting as he walked into the kitchen.

“Yeah as in not you, Rian, Jack or Zack. This milkshakes only for me and Emily.” I said winking at Emily which made her laugh.

“Meany.” Alex said poking his tongue out at me.

I looked over at my mum who was looking very confused, I'd already explained to her about having to date Alex for publicity but she'd never actually met Alex so I guess this would be a good time to introduce them.

“Mum, this is Alex, Alex this is my mum and Katie.” I said introducing everyone.

“Nice to meet you Mrs Baxter.” Alex said politely to my mum.

“Call me Karen sweetie, lovely to meet you too Alex I've heard so much about you.” My mum replied.

I couldn't help but cringe when she said that, I didn't want Alex to think I was talking about him non stop with everyone in fact the most I'd talked to my mum about Alex was when I was explaining to her about everything that was happening and whenever she rung me up and asked how he was then I'd tell her, it wasn't like I could never stop talking about him or anything.

“All good things I hope.” Alex said an awkward laugh escaping his mouth.

“Very good things, my daughter speaks very highly of you.”

“Mum! Shutup!” I interrupted could she get anymore embarrassing?

“Just because you're a worldwide famous singer doesn't mean you can talk to me like that Raven, I'm still your mother you know.” My mum said sternly.

I could tell I annoyed her because she never called me by my first name unless it was something really serious or she was mad she was the one who started calling me Rae in the first place. I looked over at Alex who looked like he was trying not too laugh but he wasn't doing that great of a job. I shot him a glare hoping that he would be quiet but it was no help.

“So mum is Emily staying with me tonight then?” I asked.

“Yes, she's got a little bag with her in the car of her pjs and stuff, I'm just meeting up with some old friends tonight and then I'm going to stay at Marie's so I'll collect Emily around lunchtime if that's okay?”

“Yeah that sounds great, finally get to spend some time with her.” I said smiling.

“Okay, I'll leave you to it then if there's any problems just ring me and I'll be straight back!”

I nodded my head giving my mum a kiss goodbye as I walked her to the front door and watched her grab Emily's back out of the car to give to me then leave again. I went back into the kitchen to see Alex and Emily talking well Alex was mostly doing the talking. It was cute.

“You and Emily really look alike you know, she's got your eyes and your nose.” Alex stated.

“Mhm, I guess she does.” I said looking down at the floor, if only he really knew...

“What ya gonna make for her dinner then it's like half six already.” Alex asked.

“Oh I hadn't really given it much thought, I usually just give her some chicken nuggets and beans. That's her favourite food. Where's Jack, Rian and Zack?” I asked.

“Gone for the night, I didn't know if your mum was staying the night so they thought it'd be easier to make some space they'll be back tomorrow morning they're just checking in at a hotel and gonna go to some clubs tonight.” Alex told me.

“Oh, they didn't have to do that... I feel bad now that they've had to go and check in at a hotel just because of me.”

“No it's totally fine, they're cool with it plus properly safer since there's a baby here y'know they're a bit crazy and would properly not be able to control their swearing around a baby.” Alex said laughing.

“I guess so.” I said going into my freezer and pulling out the chicken nuggets then putting some into the oven.

I grabbed a can of beans out of the cupboard, getting a can opener out of the draw to open them before pouring them into a bowl and putting it in the microwave to cook them.

“I'm just gonna have the leftover pizza that's in the fridge for dinner that alright?” Alex asked.

“Yeah sure!”

I brushed Emily's hair before tucking her into her bed, she had her own room at my house which was decorated exactly how any little girl would want it. It was something it'd have loved to have had when I was a kid. I pressed a kiss to Emily's forehead as light snores started to come out of her mouth, before standing up and switching the light out walking out of the room, leaving the door open only a crack. I went back downstairs into the living room, laying down on the sofa and opening my book to where I had last finished reading. I was shattered and it was now half ten which was early for me but when you'd been looking after a small child for most of the day the energy really gets sucked out of you. Not that I minded because I barley got to see her and every second counted.

About twenty minutes later I started to hear Emily crying I sighed as I put a bookmark in my page until I heard her stop crying which was strange. Less than a minute later Alex came downstairs with Emily on his hip, Emily was rubbing her eyes but not crying anymore.

“What's the matter sweetie?” I asked.

Emily shook her head a few times shoving her thumb in her mouth. I stood up to pull the thumb out of her mouth, she was going to end up with bad teeth if she kept sucking her thumb.

“I think she might have had a nightmare or something, I heard her crying and you were downstairs so I just went to get her to bring her down to you I hope you don't mind.” Alex said worryingly.

“No it's fine, thanks Alex. Now Em are you ready to go back to sleep?” I asked her.

“No mummy, it's too scary.” Emily said her voice wobbling as if she was about to cry again.

“Mummy? You're her mum!?” Alex asked his eyes widened.
