Nightmares

Jack's POV
I awake to loud noises outside of my room. Shit, we fell asleep. I rub my eyes and sit up, reaching out for Zack. But he's not there.

"Oh fuck everything!" I exclaim, running up to go figure out what's going on.

I walk out to see Zack and Rian face-to-face, Rian covered in what I assume to be Grace's blood. I figured he might have to beat her after she screamed hearing Tiny Dancer on Zack's phone. But this, I didn't plan for.

"Jack? Care to explain what the fuck's going on here?" Zack spits at me.

"Well......" At first I'm grateful for the loud noise that cuts off my half-assed excuses. But when I realize it's Gracie groaning and making her way to the hall, I realize I'm in deep shit. I'm going to have to keep Zack here now too, that's just fabulous. And he's going to hate me now. He'll never be able to love me again.

As the door opens, Rian steps towards it protectively, and Gracie steps right into his arms.

"Rian, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have screamed.....it just brought back memories of Alex, the bad man. I love you, and I'm sorry."

Zack's jaw just about hits the floor. Looks like I have a bit of explaining to do.....
