Nightmares
What Now?
Rian's POV
Shit. I hate beating Grace, I'm always afraid I'm actually gonna hurt her. But she seems to even enjoy it lately. I'm not gonna lie, it's kind of fucked up. Oh well, as long as we love each other. I still wish this could have happened between us without the kidnapping, and rape, and violence, but Jack. It's strange, when I had him as a student in high school, I never thought he'd be the one running this kind of thing. I guess that's how this works though.
I lay her down, applying the ice carefully to the forming bruises on her face. Damn, there's blood all over my hands. I better go clean this up.
I stand up and walk out of the room Gracie and I share to the small bathroom down the hall, only to find the door locked. That's strange, I thought Jack left to take Zack home.
Suddenly, the door opens and I'm face-to-face with Zack.
"Fuck," I mutter under my breath, "Jack's gonna have my ass."
"Rian? What are you doing here? And why the hell are you all covered in blood?"
Zack's POV
Jack's loud snoring waking me from my pleasant sleep, I sit up a little and try to stretch without disturbing him. He can be kind of bitchy if he's woken up. I escape from his arms, heading out to find the bathroom.
Once I do, I close and lock the door behind me. Hearing footsteps outside the door, I finish up quickly and go to see Jack.
But it's not.
It's Rian, covered in blood, but without any lacerations on himself. He mutters under his breath something unintelligible. It doesn't seem like he's gonna talk to me, so I figure I'll work this thing out.
"Rian? What are you doing here? And why the hell are you covered in blood?"
