The First Time

Zack’s POV

The guys visited me in the hospital. They brought me fresh clothes and I put them on. It’s nice to be back in my favorite sweater. I went to the counter to check out with the guys. I felt better than yesterday until I saw Emma on the other side of the counter. We looked at each other for a while, but she walked to me.

“Hey Emma.” Rian said

“Hi guys. It’s nice to see you three.” She said flashing a sweet smile. She looked at me. “I just wanted to tell you to get your medicine in the pharmacy on your left. I already ordered your medicine for your head. Just drink it if your head feels dizzy and heavy. Here is the receipt.” She gave me the receipt paper. “ I hope you get well soon.” She smiled and walked away. I sighed. I didn’t want her to go, but what can I do now?

I went back to the hotel with the guys. We spent our day like we usually do and the day went on quite fast. It was nighttime and I couldn’t sleep. I played with my phone on the couch and that’s when Rian came out. He sat next to me.

“Are you feeling okay?” Rian asked me

“Yeah, my head’s better.”

“Good!”

"Uhm dude, how’s Cassadee?”

“She’s fine. I spent some time with her today.” Rian grinned. He seemed to be very happy with Cassadee.

“That’s great! She’s an awesome girl.” I smiled at him

“She is.” Rian replied. There was a pause.

“Ho-“

“Zack just talk to me.” Rian cut me. “We both know you miss Emma. It has always been her isn’t it? Just tell me the truth Zack. Bro to bro.”

“Okay.”

“Woah, really? That was easier than I though.” We both chuckled. “So what happened?”

“Well that night in Chicago when you guys were out I was waiting for Emma. She was going to visit me. All of the sudden there was a knock and I opened the door and a fan came in. I tried to kick her out, but well you know how strong they can be. So she kissed me.”

“Wait, what? That’s against the rules man!”

“Yes Rian I know. Anyways I tried to fight, but she was strong and then Emma saw me kissing this girl. I chased Emma and the girl ran away. She was pissed at me and she left me.”

“Dude, I’m so sorry.”

“It’s okay, it was my fault, I should have tried harder to get that girl out. If I did, none of this chaos might have happen.”

“Well, how are you feeling now?”

“I never stopped loving her.” I could feel Rian staring at me. “I love her so much, I was ready to pop the big question.”

“The big question?!”

“Yeah, that night I was going to ask her and I thought if we were ready, we could get married or something.” I smiled to how idiotic I was.

“Do you still keep the ring?”

“I still have it with me. I bring it everywhere.”

“Well, have you ever thought of moving on?”

“Yeah.”

“Then why don’t you?”

“Don’t you see? I don’t want to. She’s the right one. I’m sure of it. Whatever happens, I will keep on fighting for her until I get her. I know it’s stupid, but a second chance is worth the try.”

Rian smiled at me.

“Go get her.”
