The First Time

Zack’s POV

I woke up. I didn’t know where I was or what really happened. It all seemed like a blur to me. The lights were really bright in here. My scratches were treated and my head felt better. I checked the clocked on the table next to my bed. It was 11.27 pm. I must’ve been unconscious for a while. My nausea was coming back.. Oh God.

I closed my eyes and tried not to vomit when the doctor came..

Emma? I thought to myself.My eyes lit up. I was surprised she was my doctor. She didn’t change at all. She didn’t seem happy to see me. Well, who could blame her?

“So, how’s your head? Do you feel anything that hurts? Nausea?” She asked me.

“I’m fine. I feel nauseous, but my head’s feeling better.” I changed my position so that I could sit and look at her clearly. Man, I missed her. There was a moment of silence between us. “How are you?” I asked desperately wanting an answer.

“I’m fine.” She said looking at me and not blinking for even a second, but not in the creepy way. She looked rock bottomed and that made me feel even sadder.

“Emma, I’m really sorry. For everything I did wrong to you. I really am. I’m glad you’re okay though. I’m glad you found success.” I said to her smiling a bit. I was truthfully really proud of her. She sat down on the bed.

“It’s okay. That was a long time ago.” She smiled. ”After a long time of mourning, I realized falling for you was a mistake.” She looked at me, stood up, and left.

Her words broke me. A mistake… I was a mistake…

If only I could turn back time I would do anything to get her back, but that’s just not possible. The world turned dark. I could feel nothing, but sorrow. Even when her words were hurtful, I won’t give up on her. Ever…
