The First Time

Emma’s POV

1 year later

Pheww, today’s the big day. The day I’ve been dreaming of for a while now. It’s been a year since I met Zack and I’m glad that we’re still going strong. It’s a terrific day for all of us seniors. We’re finally graduating.

I walked in with my robe on and I saw a banner saying “Congratulations seniors!” I was nervous until I saw Zack talking to Rian, Alex, and Jack. They had their graduation ceremony yesterday. We were both there. Zack turned his head and saw me. He smiled and I smile back. We took a seat and while they were giving us out rolled diploma, I grabbed Zack’s hand real tight.

“Emma Kavanaugh” they called out my name. I stood up, walk to the front, and did the gestures I should do with the principal that involves the hat. I never really know what that was called. After that, I grabbed my diploma and we had to take a picture so I smiled and immediately went down from the stage. Not long after my turn, Zack was called up and he did the same thing.Some students needed to give a speech and after 2-3 hours the ceremony ended. We threw our hats up and Zack and I just hug each other.

We were happy, everyone was. Balloons were dropping everywhere. It was a magical moment for the seniors. All of us went to our families. Kate and Joe took a look at my diploma and they were smiling really widely. We were hugging like those teletubbies until Zack came with a box in his hands. Joe and Kate walked away.

“This is for you.” He said while smiling. “Open it.”

I opened it and found a letter and a stuffed penguin. The penguin was adorable. I was holding the letter until he said, “Don’t open the letter now. Open it when you feel hopeless and lost. I think it will help you.” He flashed me a crooked smile.

“Thank you Zack. I’m so sorry I didn’t really get you anything. I really am sorry.”

“It’s okay. I hope you like the penguin. What are you gonna name it?”

“Zack. In honor of you. I’ll name it Zack.” I smiled and he smiled back

“Well, after tonight I won’t be seeing you again will I?”

“I guess not, but at least you have your band with you and if we’re in the same time zone I could always text you right?”

“I guess so.” He had a nervous look in his face.

“Don’t worry okay? You’ll be fine. All Time Low will be big. I can feel it.” I gave him a hug.

“So, this is goodbye them?”

“What about a see you soon?”

“I like that.”

So, that’s it. We have the future in our hands and we’ll go wherever it might take us. I’m gonna miss Zack, but I know we’ll see each other again.

It's not the end yet by the way. I know the last sentence seems to be the end, but there's more. Anyways I apologize for crappy chapters, bad grammar, and wrong spelling.
