The First Time

Zack’s POV

After I dropped off Emma, I went to Jack’s place where the guys are having movie night. I was being really quiet because what Emma said in the car was stuck in my head. Suddenly, when I was still thinking of Emma, Rian said,

“Dude is it Emma? You’ve been really head over heels about her. What’s going on with you? This is really unlike you.”

“Yeah, bro if you wanna bang her, she’s just not that kind of girl.” Jack added

“What the fuck Jack? I don’t wanna bang her. I just can’t stop thinking about what happened.” I scowled.

“Wait, what happened? You said you couldn’t stop thinking about what happened. Come on Zack, tell us!” Alex sat up from lying down on the couch.

“Long story.” I replied

“What? Did she cry? Did she hurt you? Did she kick your ass?” Jack asked.

“NO!” All the guys looked at me and became interested. “This morning she kissed me in the cheek. After school, we were painting and having fun. I almost kissed her, but Ms. Blanchard, the drama teacher came in. After we cleaned up, I drove her home, and we talked. She said she had the happiest time of her life. She also said that she was grateful to have me and that she’ll be there for me. She kissed me in the cheek again and that was it.”

All the guys had their jaw opened.

“That Ms. Blanchard! I don’t like her!” Rian added.

“I don’t know what to do now.” I exclaimed

“You know, I haven’t been that supportive to my bro, but I say, get her back!” Alex said. “No shy girl would open up to a guy unless she trusts you. I think you should try to make another attempt.”

“Yeah, just try again, but if she rejects your token of affection, then she’s not worth it. Just keep calm Zack.” Rian added.

“You know what, I will!” I replied. I stood up, said goodbye and thanks to the guys and went away. I have to start thinking of what I should do to make Emma swoon.

Rian’s POV

Zack has been really head over heels. Alex, Jack, and I have noticed that. Today, we have movie night at Jack’s and Zack is coming. I really want him to talk about Emma. Sometimes I think she might be too closed for Zack, but if I think about it, I haven’t known her that well. Maybe Zack saw something in her that we don’t.

Zack was wandering off again. He looked really blue. I couldn’t really help it anymore so I said,

“Dude is it Emma? You’ve been really head over heels about her. What’s going on with you? This is really unlike you.”

Jack added some questions which was quite disturbing, but that’s Jack. After Zack scowled at Jack, he started to tell us what has been happening earlier today. Jack, Alex, and I had our jaws opened. This was really unlike Zack and Emma for that matter to have moments like that. We really didn’t see that coming.

I was pissed at Ms. Blanchard. That moment could’ve been their big break, but of course she had to come in and ruin the moment. Ughh. Just when I thought none of us would’ve been speaking. Alex gave Zack some advise. I added some opinions I’ve been keeping and Zack had a moment of excitement. He stood up, thanked us, and went home.

After he went away, Alex and I had the talk while Jack was taking chips.

“I’ve never seen Zack so in love with someone before.” Alex said

“I know, I don’t think it’s just a crush anymore. His feelings for her are definitely growing.” I added, “Never saw the kiss coming. Especially from the both of them.”

“I KNOW RIGHT?! It’s so unlike Zack. Do you think she’s treating Zack well? Or do you think she’s just playing with him?”

“I don’t know Alex.” I said feeling bad for Zack. ”You know, an idea just popped out of my head. Maybe we need to talk to her. Get to know her better.”

“You’re right. We’ll know if she’s playing with Zack or not. That’s brilliant, Rian!”

“We’ll follow her home on Friday and we’ll have the talk.”

“Okay then, it’s on!”
