Be Careful What You Wish For

Ugh. Selene wakes up from another almost sleepless night. It’s been like this since her aunt caught her trying to contact Jack. Why? Why can’t she see what this is doing to her? So what if she was using magick. This is worse than just a punishment. This is hell.
And the worst part is knowing that Jack must be suffering too.
Why’d she have to be so stupid? She knew that they were home. She knew that something like this could happen, but yet she went ahead and started up their chat. She should have heard her aunt coming up the stairs. She should have...
Well, there is nothing that Selene can do about it now. She’s stuck suffering, and Jack... Jack is must be suffering more than her.
Selene would give anything to have prevented this. She’s give anything to stop the pain that Jack is going through. It absolutely breaks her heart. If only she could find the anti-magick sigil that her aunt hid in her room. If only... She’s looked everywhere, and she has no idea where it could be.
Jack... If only... If only...
What the- Selene grabs her phone off of her desk. Who would be texting her at a time like this? Is this- Rose?
Rose: Are you alright? I’ve been getting intense visions again, but I can’t tell what’s happening.
Selene: No.
Rose: What’s wrong? Did our aunt and uncle do something?
Selene: Yeah.
Rose: What did they do?
Selene: Anti-Magick Sigil
Rose: Selene, what did you do?
Selene: It was just a wishing spell... I didn’t know that all of this would happen.
Rose: Selene, what happened?
Selene: I just wanted to maybe meet my soulmate or know who they are at least. The spell... it backfired. It backfired just like that spell to get rid of nightmares that I cast.
Selene: It was so bad... Jack is suffering, and it’s all my fault. He’s been dreaming of me, hearing me, and seeing visions of us as kids. I could hear him too after this sigil appeared on my wrist. Now I can’t stop hearing him. We had finally talked, but when Aunt caught me contacting him, she put the anti-magick sigil in my room.
Selene: I don’t know where it is, and without the chats with him, it’s gotten worse. I hear his muffled voice all the time, and it hurts.
Selene: Please help me. Help us.
Rose: You mentioned a sigil on your wrist?
Selene: Yeah.
Rose: Send me a picture of it.
Selene did.
Rose: I know what that is.
Selene: Can you help then?
Rose: I’m coming for a visit.

Notes

This is a really short chapter, but now you know what happened. It looks like Rose knows more as well, and she's about to make an appearance in the next chapter.
I have two chapters planned out, but there will be more than two. I just need to come up with what happens in each chapter. So far, I only have an overview of that part of the story. The next part is the part that I can't wait for. It's going to get personal. When I came back to this story, I didn't have anything planned out that much, and I didn't know what was going to happen after they meet,etc. The next part of the story, after the next two chapters, will be really important to myself. I plan on having something similar in other stories I write, but I'll be getting to it sooner in this one. When I get to it, I will mention this all again. I won't say what it is though, so it doesn't get spoiled. It will be something to look out for though. I'm going to try to just hint at it more and make it as real as possible. It will be based on my own experiences and feelings, so it's going to be quite interesting.

Anyway, I might write up the next chapter up soon. I kind of want a break. If I'm up for it, I'll write up the next chapter or two afterwards.
