Guts

It was the night of our first real gig! We had practiced every day since the announcement and we had perfect both my songs: Memories Fade like Photographs and the newest one The Next Best Thing. We were stoked. Matt had set up a merch table for us while we were getting ready.
We decided to start off with the cover songs and finish with the originals. We had to take into consideration that we were playing in a coffee shop so we picked upbeat songs. As we neared the end of the set, I saw Jasey walk in with her football star. We were down to our last song, The Next Best Thing.

Perfect. I took a big swig of my water and grabbed the mic. “Okay guys, this will be our final song for tonight, I wrote it about a girl, and she is actually here tonight. I hope you guys like it.” I looked to Jasey and she was shooting me daggers, I blew her a kiss and started singing.

Once the song was done everyone cheered. Jasey and her boyfriend let but not before shooting nasty eye daggers at me. But I could care less, the crowd loved us. We broke down the stage and headed to Matt and the merch table. People were buying posters and asking for us to sign it.

Over half the people who showed up were people from our high school. Matt had put flyers all over the school and we had a great turn out. After what seemed like forever, everyone slowly made their way home and we packed up.

I was staying with Jack for the weekend and Maria was coming over because we were having game night. May and her fiancé were coming, Joe invited his girl friend, and their mom told us she had invited someone over.

We were all a little surprised. As we started setting up May showed up, followed by Lilly, Joe’s girlfriend, and then someone knocked. Jacks mom jumped up to answer it. She came back with a guy we had never seen before. We were confused to say the least.

*Confused! I was furious! She could have at least told us, or warned us, but no she shows up with hot stuff and expects us to be okay with it and not say anything!*
^Hot stuff? Jacky did you have crush on him?
*No!! I hated his guts! He was with my mother for crying out loud! *

She introduced him and we set out to play like normal, except Jack. He glared daggers at the new guy the whole time. No one seemed to notice except Maria and I. But we didn’t say anything; we didn’t want to set him off.

After a few hours, everyone started to head out. Jacks mom headed out with the new guy and said she would be back later, not to wait up. That left Jack and I in his room, where he threw a huge temper tantrum.

Kind of just a filler I didn't want to skip their two gigs. The next chapter will be another filler also and I'm sorry for that I just don't want to completely leave them out, but after that I have smut planned!! Just hold out please?
