Jack was sitting on the beach a good half an hour away from his house and Alex, he didn't want them to find him. His eyes were red and puffy from crying so much, he was tired of crying but he just couldn't stop people gave him weird looks when they passed him which made Jack shrink into a ball. He couldn't remember how long he sat there for on the beach but he knew he didn't want to leave, he just couldn't believe Alex would do that to him! He thought Alex loved him, wanted to be with him, that he was enough for Alex and he knew he wouldn't be able to trust anyone the same now. Alex made him feel safe, loved, happy for the first time since he had moved to Baltimore and when his dad and sister left now he just felt numb. Jack didn't know if he could forgive Alex he had broken his trust.
"Hey are you okay?" Jack looked up to see a small girl with straight brown hair and a small nose ring in, she was looking at Jack with sad eyes and Jack just shook his head. The girl sat down on the sand next to him and asked
"What's your name?" Jack smiled at her before answering
"Jack" He croaked due to his crying.
"I'm Tay, I work just over there and I seen you sitting here for the past three hours crying and I just wanted to make sure you where okay" The girl called Tay said smiling at Jack and he just looked at her
"Eh I'll be alright I just had to clear my head before I go home, but thanks Tay" He said wiping his eyes and standing, Tay also got up and he noticed how small she really was and quite cute, Jack knew if he wasn't gay she would be the girl he would try and go out with.
"I'm going to meet some friends, you want to come? We're just hanging out at Taco Bell" Tay asked giving him a friendly smile and Jack knew he was hungry so why not, he hadn't really made any friends since he moved here and Tay seemed sweet.
"Sure thanks" Jack nodded as Tay wrapped her arms around Jack's waist in a hug and they set off to meet her friends, on the way there Jack found out that Tay is in a college band, takes the same course as Alex and works on the beach. Tay pushed the door open and Jack could hear her friends before he saw them.
"Tay who's the new guy?" One shouted he was small of dark hair and a random white bit at the front.
"He your boyfriend?" Another teased he was the tallest out the group and was winking at Tay playfully.
"Guys fuck up, this is Jack he's cool so be nice" Tay laughed as she pushed Jack down into the booth between her and the tall guy. Jack was having fun with Tay and the guys, Jordan the tall one, Rob had the white stripe in his hair, Cameron was tall and didn't say much and Mike sat telling random jokes at the table. He had to admit it did take his mind off of Alex but he knew he couldn't hide for the problem any longer. Jack stood and said his goodbyes along with a promise to text Tay or any of the guys if they wanted to hang out, smiling he did feel better but with every step he took the more he felt sick. What was he walking back into? Right now even Jack didn't know but all he knew was he wanted to make it more no matter what. Opening the door he took a deep breath and walked in. Then Alex was flinging himself onto Jack which caused him to stumble back into the door, he felt Alex shaking a knew the boy was crying and judging by his eyes a really long fucking time.
"Jack please you have to believe me! I am so fucking sorry about the whole thing, I swear the kiss meant nothing to me. I know being drunk isn't an excuse and I understand if you want to shout at me or hit me but please Jack I love you" Alex said gripping onto Jack's t-shirt thinking if he held on hard enough Jack would stay. Jack unhooked himself from Alex's iron grip and walked into their bedroom and started emptying his drawers feeling numb in the process, he could hear Alex crying behind him. It took everything in Jack to pack the small rucksack with clothes and not turn around and forgive Alex.
"Jack please" He kept hearing Alex whisper as he walked around the bedroom.
"Alex, you know I love you more than anyone in the entire world but you've hurt me Alex. You broke my trust after everything I told you about my life, you knew how hard it was for me to open up and let people in. You where the only one to ever break down they walls and you know what? This is why I never let anyone in because they always fucking hurt you! No matter how much they do or say you can't forget the hurt they caused and right now Alex you have made my walls come back up" Jack choked out as he felt tears roll down his face while he looked at Alex who was also crying and nodding his head. Picking up the bag Jack made it to the door before Alex grabbed him and pushed their lips together hard in a mad attempt to make Jack stay. Jack kissed him back as tears rolled down both of their faces.
"I promise I will do anything Jack to make you stay! I love you so fucking much I don't think you understand, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you! Just don't leave me here alone Jack please!" Alex broke down again and Jack watched as Alex slid down the door until he was a mess on the floor and he realised how much of a wreck he was. He sat down and pulled Alex into his lap who curled up crying into Jack's chest he pulled Alex's head up and gave him a light kiss before saying
"I'll never let you go" as more tears ran down Jack's face and a small smile appeared on Alex's lips.
