Alex hadn't slept for three days he kept thinking if he shut his eyes for even a minute Jack would leave. He hadn't expected things to go back to normal after their fight but Alex wished they would. Walking around the music store on his shift Alex was tidying up the racks of cds, since people picked them up walked around decided against buying the cds and put it down in some random place which annoyed the shit out of him.
"Hey Alex" He turned and saw Tay from the party and he suddenly felt sick.
"Hey Tay right?" Alex asked wanting to make sure she got her name right, she nodded smiling.
"Can I help you find something or?" Alex asked motioning a hand to the stacks of cds.
"No I'm not buying anything I actually need to speak with the manager" Tay smiled walking with Alex as he fixed the cds, she even helped him.
"Shit I knew I shouldn't have gave that girl a discount!" Alex joked smiling as Tay laughed.
"Anyway he's not in right now so you could come back or I could give him a message" Alex said as Tay opened her bag and pulled out some flyers handing them to Alex.
"Just tell him Tay stopped by with these for the window" She said as Alex looked at the bits of paper, her band was playing in a small venue in a few nights. "Aww you're in a band! That's so cool, I'll come check you guys out" Alex grinned hanging the posters up around the store while Tay also helped again.
"That would be great if you did and bring some of your friends!" She smiled as she gave Alex a hug and walked out the store and as she was walking out Jack was walking in. Alex watched as the two of talked for a few minutes before Tay hugged Jack and walked away round the corner.
"Hey Jack" Alex smiled as Jack walked up to him and hugged him lightly.
"What you doing here?" Alex asked as Jack just shrugged.
"When do you finish?" He asked and Alex checked the clock smiling before saying
"Now"
"Great let's go!" Jack said happily grabbing Alex's hand and lead them out the mall, past their house and them onto the beach. Alex broke out into a grin when he seen a stripped blanket on the sand, a wooden basket filled with food and a small cooler with beers in it. "What's this for?" Alex asked sitting down next to Jack on the blanket while he smiled, the part of the beach Jack picked was closed off from the rest of the beach meaning they had privacy.
"I know since we moved here things haven't been easy but I want things to be like they were back in Baltimore and also I really do forgive you over kissing John at that party. So you can sleep tonight knowing I will still be there in the morning, plus Lex I wouldn't ever leave you. I love you Lex" Once Jack had finished Alex leaned over and kissed him, their first kiss since the argument it was a long sweet kiss and Alex wouldn't change it for the world.
"How did you know I wasn't sleeping?" Alex frowned as Jack opened the basket and pulled out food from Taco Bell which caused Alex to laugh.
"Because I wake up whenever you moved thinking the same thing, that you were going to leave and why are you laughing this food is amazing" Jack laughed also.
"Well I'm never leaving so you're stuck with me Jacky and here I thought you would be romantic and have my favourite food" Alex smiled before taking the food off Jack and settling into his nachos while Jack ate a burrito. They sat in comfortable silence for a while until Alex lay down on the warm sand and Jack joined him, lying next to him Jack's fingers traced a pattern on Alex's hips before he started to plant kissed on his neck and jaw.
"Jack we're outside" Alex said a bit breathless moving Jack's face so he was looking at him.
"So?" Jack smirked capturing Alex's lips before he could protest again, he gave in and kissed Jack back biting his bottom lip lightly earning a small moan from Jack making him smile. Jack opened his mouth slightly for air and Alex took it as an invitation to tangle their tongues in a passionate kiss, Jack being the one to break it as he was out of breath.
"Jack?" Alex asked quietly as Jack sat up looking down at him with his massive brown eyes.
"Yeah?" He said smiling.
"Think Zack and Rian would want to go out tonight? Not like a party I mean a movie and some food or we could go alone, up to you I just don't want to cook tonight" Alex smiled knowing there was no food in the fridge since Jack was lazy and never went food shopping, not since he found Taco Bell anyway and Alex feared for his boyfriends weight.
"Can we go alone? I want a night just us two like we use to have" Jack said leaning down and kissing Alex's cheek.
"Of course, let's clean this mess up then we can change and go out" Alex said standing pulling Jack up with him and carried the blanket while Jack carried the basket of empty food wrappers, Alex didn't even change he just dusted off the sand from the clothes and then fixed his hair. They walked hand in hand down past the mall and into the large cinema deciding to go and see a horror.
"Lex I don't want to see this!" Jack whispered as they took their seats clinging to Alex's hand practically cutting off the circulation but he smirked and kissed his cheek quickly.
"Don't worry Jacky nothing in this movie is real" He whispered as the trailers started and the cinema went quiet, Alex had to admit the movie was freaky and he jumped a few times while watching the screen, a few other people screaming and he knew Jack was scared as every time the eerie music came on Jack would squeeze Alex's hand. When they finally got out the cinema it was starting to get dark and walking home in the twilight even Alex had to say he was quite freaked out and walked home faster dragging Jack home with him.
"I'm going for a shower you need in" Jack shouted from their bedroom then walked out into the hallway as Alex shouted back
"No!"
Jack just smiled and trotted off back into the bathroom, Alex decided he could lie on the bed and wait for Jack to come out his shower but he didn't realise how tired he actually was and what three days of no sleep could do to someone. He must have fell asleep because he woke to Jack shifting in his sleep, his eyes screwed tight and his breathing fast, Alex sat up and watched as Jack thrashed around in the bed clearly having a nightmare. He didn't know what to do because he knew you weren't meant to wake a sleepwalker up but did the same count to someone having a nightmare? Before Alex could make a decision Jack woke up screaming
"ALEX!" and burst into tears while Alex jumped wrapping his arms around him.
"Shhh Jack, I'm here nothing is wrong, your safe, I'm safe. Everything's fine" Alex soothed him and when he stopped crying he looked up at Alex.
"I had a dream that they were taking you away and I couldn't stop them no matter how fast I ran you were gone" Jack whispered clinging onto Alex's top as if he was going to disappear right there.
"Shhh it was just a dream, go back to sleep I'll still be here when you wake up" Alex said leaning down and kissing Jack's forehead before he rolled on his side and mumbled
"You and your fucking scary movies" Which caused Alex to snicker and close his own eyes.
