Sitting in the class Alex was going insane he had John on one side of him smiling and trying to talk to him while the lecturer was talking then Rian on the other side of him taking notes and frowning whenever Alex laughed at what John had said. Once class was over Alex couldn't handle the amount of studying he had to do and books he was to read, he was starting to think if going to college was a smart move.
"I gotta get going it's my shift at work I'll text you later Alex-" John said smiling while giving Alex a hug, he was all too aware that John's hands where on his hips but he didn't stop him instead he blushed and nodded.
"Nice meeting you Rian" He finished and waved at the pair of them and walked away whistling to himself and Alex tried to stop the smile that was fighting its way onto his face.
"So wanna get some coffee and talk about this?" Rian asked but Alex knew it wasn't up for debate, sighing he nodded and followed Rian to the nearest Starbucks, once they were seated and had their drinks Rian waited for Alex to talk.
"Rian I feel so guilty! I mean I love Jack to death and nothing would change that but when I met John there was this strange feeling in my stomach and I can't stop smiling when I'm around him! Then I go back home to Jack who is all smiles and kisses but I just feel so fucking guilty" Alex sighed feeling defeated about the whole situation.
"Alex look Jack loves you more than anything and you don't want to lose him plus you don't even know John that well you've known him what a day? He could be hiding something or he might not be what you want him to be, I just think you should watch what you're doing" Rian said taking a sip of his coffee, Alex nodded then to make things even better Jack was phoning him.
"Hey Jack" He answered putting a smile into his voice.
"Lex where are you? I thought we were going out after you go out of class" Jack said and Alex slapped himself he had totally forgot Jack was taking him out to dinner
"Fuck Jack sorry I forgot! Look I'm on way home right now" Alex said already standing but he heard Jack sigh and he knew it couldn't be good.
"No Alex it doesn't matter" Jack said hanging up not giving him a change to explain who I was with, Alex fell back into the seat just wanting to crawl into a hole and sleep.
"Why are you still sitting here! Go home and talk to him Alex" Rian said standing and pulling Alex with him, he didn't protest or shove Rian off him he didn't care right now. Rian dropped him home and as Alex walked up to the front door he felt sick, opening it he braced himself for Jack shouting at him instead he saw Jack crying softly.
"Jack baby I am so sorry I forgot! Please I'll make it up to you I swear, I was talking with Rian and I forgot the time. Please don't cry Jack" Alex said wrapping Jack into a hug and he felt Jack grip onto his shirt.
"I j-just feel as if I-I don't see you anym-more! Lex I m-miss you" Jack sobbed and Alex swore he could feel himself break at the sound of Jack's words, he hugged him tighter.
"Shhh I'm here now, I'm right here" Alex soothed him and as Jack started to calm down and drift to sleep his phone buzzed, pulling it out he read it.
hey Alex, there's a party tonight you in? It was from John.
Who's party? Alex text back and a minute later his phone buzzed again.
Some girl in our class, please I'm not going unless you are ;) Alex felt his stomach twist as he read John's text but then he looked at Jack lying in his arms and sighed.
I'll come for an hour at the most I'm not a party person, I'll get you outside the mall at 9 Alex text John back even back in Baltimore Rian and Zack had to drag him out with them. Again his phone buzzed
Great see you then ;) Alex smiled wondering if he would enjoy tonight and if he should bring Jack with him? It might make John back off a bit but Alex wasn't sure if he wanted that.
"Jack I'm going out for an hour or two but Rian and Zack are coming over" Alex said smiling while picking up his phone, keys and gave Jack a kiss quickly before he ducked out the house he felt bad for not asking Jack but he would make it up to him tomorrow. John was already waiting for him as
he neared the mall and he gave Alex a hug then started walking towards the house where the party was and Alex could hear the music as they got closer, there was millions of people here and Alex was pretty sure it wasn't just people from college.
"Alex!" Alex turned at his name and saw a pretty girl with dark brown wavy hair and a nose ring come over and hug him, he smiled unsure about her name.
"Hey" Was all Alex could manage out and the girl smiled at him
"Well drinks are in the kitchen so enjoy" She said before hugging him again and disappeared into the sea of people while John returned with two cups handing one to Alex and he drank it not wanting to know what was in it.
"That was Tay she's in our class" John shouted over the music and Alex nodded glad to put a name to her face so he could actually talk to her later on if he was still sober. Alex walked around the house avoiding the girls that were trying to hook up with him just for the fun of it and ignore the nagging in the back of his mind that he should leave now, picking up two shots he downed both of them and could feel the alcohol in his system already he would put Zack to shame right now. Alex was standing in the small kitchen talking to some guy called Kellin who was also in his class but he felt someone snake their arms around his waist turning round he saw John giving him a cheeky smile and Alex smiled back to drunk to know what he was doing or who it was.
"You look good tonight" John whispered in Alex's ear and Alex could feel himself blushing before he was being pushed so his back was to the wall and John crashed his lips against Alex's, he responded straight away opening his lips slightly allowing John to explore inside his mouth as he put his hands on John's hips and pulled him closer so that there was no space between the two of them. John's hands were wrapped into Alex's hair pulling on it gently, which caused Alex to moan into the kiss and turn round so it was John against the wall and went right back to kissing him just the same as before. Then there was a voice screaming at Alex telling him to stop, he pulled away from John and realised what he had done, tears spilling down his cheeks he ran. He didn't know where he was going or where he was all he knew was that he had to get far away from that house and John as possible, soon Alex couldn't see due to the tears and he tripped scraping his face across the pavement. Pulling out his phone he noticed it was now half twelve and he had 6 missed calls and 10 new messages, he looked around as saw he was near the mall so he stumbled the rest of the way home and fell through the front door to Rian, Zack and Jack staring at him.
"I'm going to bed" Alex sobbed pushing Jack off him as he went into the guest bedroom, crawled into the bed pulling his knees up to his chest as he choked back sobs, wishing he could stop the feeling John's lips pressed against his own and not thinking about what his face must look like. All he wanted to do was sleep and never wake up, never having to face Jack in the morning, not having to explain to Rian and Zack what he had done, not wanting everyone he loved to hate him and he didn't want to hurt Jack but he had, he knew he had probably broken Jack's heart.
