Alex woke to the sun shining through the glass windows; he sat up rubbing his eyes tiredly and looked over at Jack who was still sleeping slightly next to him Alex smiled looking at him he looked so peaceful so Alex decided he would leave him to sleep. Alex realised it had been two weeks since they had moved out to California, things were going great, Jack had a part time job in a cafe right next to their house, Alex was taking a music course in college which Rian was also attending once he got there. Alex also had a part time job in a music store in the mall. Sure they had some fights only small ones like over where clothes where going, what colour of wallpaper they wanted in the living room and if Jack really needed to get a job, stupid things like that. Placing a kiss on Jack’s cheek Alex got out the bed, walked into the large kitchen and started to make him and Jack breakfast because he knew as soon as he smelled food he would come through. Sure enough Jack stumbled through into the kitchen still half asleep.
“Morning babe” Alex said as Jack opened the fridge and poured himself a glass of juice before coming over and placing a kiss to Alex’s lips.
“Hey” Jack mumbled his voice still thick with sleep as he sat down at the breakfast bar and waited for Alex to finish cooking, Alex laughed at how tired he still was but when Jack smelled food it didn’t matter how tired or awake he was.
“Go back to bed Jacky, I’ll make you something later” He said flipping the pancakes over and then putting them onto a plate.
“Nah I’m awake now” Jack said grinning before taking the plate out of Alex’s hands and covering them in chocolate sauce, Alex sighed and grabbed one before Jack ate them all.
“So good” Jack said his mouth full of pancakes while Alex just laughed at him and made his way out onto the small veranda they had that over looked the ocean. The air was blowing slightly and Alex wondered where his parents were now, what Kathy was doing and if Zack and Rian where on the plane yet.
“Alex!” Jack called from the kitchen
“What?” Alex shouted back sighing, wondering if he could phone in and ask for a shift today so he could get out the house for a while.
“Did you arrange the doctors? Cause you need your medication just in case” Jack asked more closer now wrapping his arms around Alex’s waist as they looked out at the ocean and the small children running around on the sand.
“Not yet I still have to phone my old doctor and get things sorted, don’t worry but I feel fine without it and if I don’t I would tell you.” Alex said turning round in Jack’s arms so that he was looking up into his dark eyes that were filled with concern, leaning up he pressed his lips to Jack’s and wrapped his arms around his neck pulling him closer.
"Are you working today?" Jack asked breaking the kiss which caused Alex to pout, he missed Jack whenever they were fixing up the house or working different shifts at different times they didn’t really get to see each other that much.
"Not if we get to do this all day" Alex smirked while Jack grinned cheekily before picking Alex up which caused him to giggle.
“Jack!” He laughed as he wrapped his legs around his waist as he walked back through the house into their bedroom and lay them down on the bed before going back to kiss Alex.
“I think I might phone in sick then” Jack mumbled while he kissed Alex’s neck and all Alex could do was hum in agreement he had missed this, Alex pulled Jack back up to face him and then reattached their lips together. A few minutes larer Alex had to break the kiss other wise he would pass out as he couldn't breathe.
"Don't pout! Not unless you want your boyfriend to pass out and then explain that to some one" Alex laughed as Jack got off of him and lay next to Alex pulling him closer, they lay like that for a while just enjoying the silence and sharing occasional kisses. Occasional kisses. Then they heard Jack’s phone go off and both boys started at it in disgust. Jack got up and answered it telling his boss he would be there in a few minutes sending Alex an apologetic look.
“I guess I should go in, it’s really busy and they’re three staff down plus it wouldn’t hurt to have some extra money” Jack said before placing a kiss on Alex’s lips and leaving for work, Alex sighed sitting in the house alone and decided he should go into the mall and pick up some stuff for college tomorrow. Walking the short distance to the mall he decided that he should get new strings for his guitar as he had been practicing since he moved, as he walked into the guitar shop and looked around helplessly a boy came over and smiled at him.
“Hey can I help you?” He asked and Alex couldn’t believe how good looking he was, tall, skinny but he could still see him muscles, short brown hair that was styled and Alex noticed he had a chest tattoo which practically made him melt. He had a thing for chest tattoos.
“Eh, I eh I’m looking for strings?” Alex said it more like a question and the boy laughed lightly before leading Alex to where they were kept.
“For an acoustic?” He asked and Alex just nodded not wanting to talk in case he made himself look like an idiot again.
“These ones are the best, I use them on mine” The boy said handing them over to Alex and he blushed slightly as his fingers ran across the boy hand.
“Wait Alex stop! You shouldn’t be thinking about him like this, you shouldn’t be imaging what he would look like without a top! Think of Jack, Jack, Jack. Bet he has a six pack, No stop!” Alex thought to himself as he paid for the strings and the boy smiled at him.
“I’m John and you?” He asked leaning against the counter and it took everything for Alex not to look down and try to read his tattoo.
“Alex” He said smiling shyly and John just grinned happily, Alex thought he had a great smile.
“How long you been playing?” John asked opening the till and counting the money before shutting it again and looking at Alex with an expectant look.
“Not long really maybe a few weeks, I need to learn the basics for my college course” Alex explained and he didn’t know why he was telling John this considering he had just met him.
“I’ve been playing for a year but I’m shit haha, what college you going to?” John asked again.
“The local one a few blocks from here, I was told it has a really good music programme” Alex grinned he was really happy to be doing music and judging by John’s smile he was happy with Alex’s answer.
“Dude we go to the same college and are doing the same course!” John exclaimed excited and Alex couldn’t help that he was excited to that John would be in the class and would have someone to talk to.
"Jack, Jack, Jack, think of your boyfriend Jack!"
“Awesome! Well I should go I have other stuff to get for college, so I guess I’ll see you tomorrow” Alex said smiling as he waved a bye to John and heard him shout
“Bye Alex!” After him and he felt a smile grow on his face. Through out the day Alex’s thoughts went back to John and how amazingly hot he was, he was one of these guys Alex imagined would surf and go to the gym a lot not play the guitar! Even though he thought about John he now felt guilty because of Jack, he loved Jack with all his heart and nothing would change that not after everything they had been through together. Again John took centre stage because he was just so different.
“Fuck Alex well done” He said to himself as he looked at the guitar strings in his hands thinking of today and hoped Rian would be here soon as he really need to talk to someone also he hoped Jack’s work was busy so he didn’t have to face him right now.
