I love you (part 2)
They days were going by too quickly, its almost been 2 weeks since I found out that I was moving, that means I only have just over a month left with Sasha. I needed more time with her because it would be at least 5 years until I see her again, hopefully. I'm just scared she'll forget about me.
"Alex?" Sasha said with her best fake smile.
"Yeah Sasha?" I replied, smiling down at her.
"I- I'll miss you" A single tear rolled down her cheek.
"I'll miss you too, but Sasha, for the past week you've been reluctant to bring this up, is everything alright at home?" I was getting worried now.
"Of course it is, Alex" She tried to convice me.
"I can tell when you're lying. What's up, Sasha?"
"Dad hit me last night." Her parents have done alot of bad stuff, but as far as I knew, this is the first time she's been hit.
"Where?" I said through my teeth.
"My back" She whispered, more tears falling.
"Show me." I said and she lifted the back of her top up.
"BLOODY HELL SASHA!" I shouted, there was a bruise the size of a football on her back "What did he hit you with?" I asked, a little more quietly.
"A glass bottle." she whispered
"You need to tell the police"
"No, Alex"
"Fine, but promise me you'll go to the police the day you move out"
"I promise" She smiled, and hooked her pinky around mine. I knew she meant it.
Another week passed by in a blur, I wish time would just go slower, I needed to be with Sasha.
We finally arrived at school and Sasha went straight to the toilet, leaving me alone with Hannah. I took this as my opportunity to talk to her about Sasha.
"Hannah, you know all about Sasha's past don't you? I asked on the way to class.
"Yeah, why?" She replied.
"Its just, Hannah, when I leave, if her parents do anything else, will you please make sure she calls the police?" I said, trying to hold back the tears.
"Of course I will Alex, when you leave, I'll do my best to make sure she's always happy."
"Thanks Hannah, oh and don't mention this to Sasha"
"wouldn't dream of it" She said. I hugged her as a quick thanks and we went into class.
1 more week left now, I'm really going to miss Sasha. Most of the house was packed up now, a painful reminder that I wont be seeing Sasha again for at lease 5 years. This would hurt.
In some ways I wanted to get the next 5 years over and done with but I didn't want them to happen without Sasha there.
I've been so lost in thought all day that I didn't even realise that I was walking home already.
"I love you Sasha" I whispered
"I love you too Alex" She whispered back. I loved hearing her say that. I'm gonna miss her.
2 more days now. I hate this. But me and Sasha have written eachother letters to open at 10 o'clock christmas morning, even though that was 11 months away. I fell asleep with thoughts of me and Sasha filling my head. I'm really going to miss her.
We were leaving today, Sasha should be here any minute so we can spend our last 3 hours together.
Knock knock knock
I raced to the door and there was Sasha, with a big smile on her face. I loved seeing her smile.
"Alex, guess what?!" She half shouted at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Mum's quitting drinking!" She seemed to happy, and I was happy for her, this is what she deserved, a real parent.
"That's wonderful, Sasha!" I said as she walked in.
We spent the rest of our time together in eachothers arms talking about our old memories. Then mum came in and we knew our time was up.
"Have you got your letter?" Sasha asked
"In my carry on bag" I said
"Good, I'll miss you" She said, letting a few tears escape
"No tears Sasha, I'll miss you too, lets just veiw this as we're going on a break, I'll see you again as soon as I can. I love you so so much." I said, forcing a smile.
"I love you too Alex" She replied. We had out last hug and kiss, then she left. See you in 5 years Sasha, I love you.
