For Baltimore (Part Two)

Miss Stephanie arrived at at the same time as yesterday: 1:50. I had dyed my hair once again, returning it to its original brown state that Alex had never seen; so when he saw me, he did a double take.

Needless to say, he was in love with it; said it matched my eyes beautifully. Of course, i had blushed and told him to shut up, but he didn't do that.

"Come on in, Stephanie." I said when i answered the door. She gladly did so, and we sat down.

"So; I'm going to be taking you two to the park, just to see if you guys want to get married there. And of course, if you do, you'll have to make a reservation." She said with a bright smile. Her hair was curled today, and she was wearing very little makeup, but it looked good. She was obviously confident in herself, and i appreciated that.

"Alright. So, let's go." I said with a smile. The three of us stood, and we exited the house, Miss Stephanie's white pumps thudding against the ground with every step she took.

Once at the park, we walked around the gorgeous park. Alex and i were holding hands, swinging our hands back and forth slightly.

"This is absolutely beautiful!" I said.

"Isn't it?" Stephanie asked.

"It really is." Alex said.

"So, do we have a yes?" Stephanie asked.

"A yes from me. How about you Alex?" I asked.

"Definitely." He said. Miss Stephanie clasped her hands together.

"Alright. Let's go make a reservation, and we'll be off to order the flowers and everything." She said. I smiled and we did just that.

We spent another hour just ordering the flowers, tablecloths, centerpieces, bouquet, corsages, and boutonnieres. After Miss Stephanie left and we were returned home, we had asked Cassadee, over the phone of course, if she wanted to help me with the invitations over the next week or weeks; depending on how long it would take. She had agreed nonetheless, saying that it 'sounds wonderful'. She'd be here tomorrow to help me get started, and we'd spend a few hours making our wrists fall off while Alex would gather up all the guys on our list, and go get suits.

The next day, that's exactly what happened. Cassadee arrived at around ten, and we got started. Here's what they looked like:

The address was on the top flap of the folded cards, and were both writing in the fanciest cursive we could manage. By the time Alex had gotten back, we had gotten through all of the invitations. I had surprisingly forgotten the rest of my band, so i quickly made four more invitations after Cassadee left.

"How was your day?" I asked Alex from the dining room table as he lent against the counter.

"It was... tiring. I asked Jack to be my best man. He agreed, which was awesome." Alex said. I smiled.

"Who's going to be your main bridesmaid?" Alex asked.

"Definitely Sam. I just need to ask her." I said. Alex nodded and walked over to me, taking a seat in the chair next to me. He took my hand and i winced.

"Too much writing?" He asked.

"Non-stop." I muttered, taking his hand with my right one instead. He kissed it and eyed the stack of invitations that still needed envelopes; and those envelopes still needed to be written on. The stack of envelopes was next to the stack of invitations, and Alex picked up the fountain pen i had used, and pulled the invitations in front of him. He started filling in the envelopes, and i smiled.

"Thanks for finishing that for me, baby." I said.

"No problem." He said.

After about another hour, we had finished up the invitations completely. I had put stamps on every single one of them, and I shuffled them up, setting them on the table. I looked up at Alex and smiled.

"I love you, Alex." I said.

"And I love you, Delilah." He said. I lent over and pressed my lips to his in a chaste kiss.

"We'll... send these... out tomorrow." I said in between kisses. Alex hummed in reply. He stood up and pulled me with him into the living room. He threw me onto the couch gently and climbed over me. He pressed his lips to mine again, harder this time. Our lips moved in sync, and i wrapped my arms around his neck. I wrapped my legs around his torso and pulled him closer to me. Alex moaned into the kiss, and i smirked. We kissed for quite a while, just enjoying being absorbed into each other.

It's safe to say i couldn't wait to marry Alex.
