It's just a dare. How bad can it be?

Jack's P.O.V.

School was over, I'm going to Brendon's house today! I'm pretty excited, he's a really fun guy. I know I've been to his house before, I just can't really remember it due to the fact that I was drunk. I'm just glad Lex is okay with this.

"So, Jack, I'm glad you could come today. I never really hang out with anyone." Brendon spoke.

"Why not? You're a really fun guy!" I replied.

"Exactly. Everyone is too boring to hang around, you're the only one that knows how to have fun." Brendon laughed.

"Thanks, but everyone sees me as a boring guy."

"How about your boyfriend? He doesn't think your fun?" Brendon asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I don't know...we don't do much. We just cuddle & kiss & stuff...The only time we really had fun was on Valentines day." I sighed.

"Well, don't take offense to this okay?" Brendon asked. I nodded. "You just seem....out of his league...it kind of seems like he's holding you back." Brendon said.

"How?" I asked, a little confused.

"Like you just said, you two don't really do anything fun, & Jack, you like to have fun! Don't you get bored being around him so much?"

"Yea, but..."

"But?"

"Alex is amazing. He puts a smile on my face everyday, he makes me feel important & he knows how to make me laugh. I love him." I replied.

"Does he love you?" Brendon asked. I thought for a while....I really didn't know what to say..."Well? Does he?"

"I-I'm pretty sure he does.."

"Jack. What do you mean, 'Pretty sure' ? If someone loves you, you know they do."

"I just don't feel like he does sometimes...."

"Why?"

"We've only been dating a while....he already say's he loves me. I, on the other hand, have been in love with him since 8th grade. Besides...I don't think he cares...I mean, do you remember that day when we got drunk & uh...you know..." Brendon nodded. "Well, when I told him, he didn't even get mad. He just said it was 'fine' . He didn't seem jealous at all! I just feel like I could kiss you right now & he wouldn't even care." I finished, now a bit angry.

"Jack, let's no-"

"He even let me hang out with you, after I slept with you! He doesn't care at all. I wouldn't let him hang out with anyone he's slept with. I'd be way to jealous."

"Jack! Calm down. I didn't mean to get you this angry. I just wanted to make a point. I'm sure he cares about you as much as you do to him. Maybe he just trusts you enough to let you be around me." Brendon replied. "Now, we're here. So....let's go inside, stop talking about this relationship stuff?"

"Okay..." I said. We walked into his house & then I remembered. I remembered being here the first time & everything that happened. I felt my phone ring in my pocket. It was Zack .

"Hey, bro! What's up?" I answered.

"Heeeyyy, dude, we haven't hung out in so long. Other than school, y'know. You should come over today?"

"Oh man, I'm with Brendon right now."

"Oh...uh..well how about tomorrow?" Zack asked, sounding a little bummed out.

"Wait a sec." I said, pulling the phone away from my ear & covering the speaker thing.

"Brendon, is it okay if my best friend comes over too? I've kind of been leaving him out since I'm always with Alex." I asked Brendon.

"Yea, dude! He's not a boring old snooze, is he?" Brendon responded.

"Nah, he's cool. Thanks."

I put the phone up to my ear again. "Come over to Brendon's right now. We can all hang out."

"Sure, sounds good. Where does he live?" Zack asked.

"I'll text you the address." I said back. Zack hung up the phone & I texted him the info. I'm feeling pretty good about today. It'll actually be pretty nice to do something for once.
