Jack's p.o.v

Say my name and his in the same breath
I dare you to say they taste the same
Let the leaves fall off in the summer
And let December glow in flames

I sighed.

Erase myself and let go
Start it over again in Mexico
These friends, they don't love you
They just love the hotel suites, now.

I glanced at my phone, my vision barely focusing as I read the called ID. Unknown.

"Hello?" I whispered. Alex was sleeping beside me, I didn't want to wake him up.

"Hey, uh, Jack?"

"Rian?"

"I... I need you to come... Please?"

"Where? What's wrong?"

"It's Cassadee. She... She wasn't feeling well. She went to buy some pills, it was raining... Jack, I shouldn't have let her... A car... An accident...She hasn't woke up since yesterday, but she's breathing, and... Jack please..." Rian sobbed. Rian never cried.

"Rian, hey, listen to me. I'll wake Alex up, take him to his house and then I'll be going to wherever you are, okay?" I was already changing from my pijamas into some skinny jeans and a shirt.

"No, wait. Don't take him home. Bring him to the hospital. Cass wants to meet him. The doctors say she'll wa-ake up so-on, if she gets to know that you made Alex go home because of her, sh-she w-will ki-ill both of us." Another sob. "Please hurry up. I need you."

"Ten minutes." I hunged up felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Is everything okay?" Alex was staring at me with his eyes not fully opened, his messy hair stuck in all the possible directions and a sad face. Shit, I didn't want to upset him.

"Uh, I-erm," I grabbed my phone. "Get dressed. I'll tell you in the car. We can go to Starbucks and I'll buy you some coffee and other things for breakfast. Just... I'll tell you in the car." I searched for my keys and some money, and also for some cds. I asked Rian to text me the address and, when Alex was ready, off we went.

We were halfway into the ride when Alex spoke. "What happened? Where are we going?"

"For what I got, one of my best friends, Rian's girlfriend, was on a car accident last night. She hasn't wok-" And that was when the tears came out. Reality hit me. Cass was in danger. Cass was hurt. Cass could die. I could lose one of my best friends. Rian would lose his girlfriend. She was probably in pain. I had to stop the car if I didn't want us to be hurt too. I felt Alex arms around me, hugging me tightly. I allowed myself to cry on his chest. I thanked that Rian had told me to bring Alex with me, if not, I would have had an emotional breakdown in the middle of the street.

Okay, so, I don't know where that came from. I had something else planned but BOOM this happened. IT WAS GOING TO BE A FLUFFY CHAPTER BUT THIS HAPPENED OKAY PLEASE DON'T KILL ME. I know you haven't met Cass yet, but it's Jack's best fucking friend, and Rian's girlfriend! I'm a horrible person;-;
