You Have My Heart, At Least For The Most Part

After opening the rest of the presents, a few Blink and Green Day shirts for Jack and the whole Jimmy Eat World’s discography for Alex, they both sat at the table to have dinner. Jack had cooked something simple, but it was good for both of them as long as they had each other.

“Hey, Alex?” Jack asked, shifting awkwardly on his sit. The younger looked up at him, his eyes big and shinning brightly, his mouthful, but still smiling. “What do you think about… um… staying the night? I can sleep in the couch if you want, you can even take Rian’s room if you feel uncomfortable in my b-“

Alex put his finger on the elder’s mouth, to hush him. After he had swallowed, he said “Jack, please, calm down. I had… I had assumed that you would ask me to stay for the night, so I already told my mom that I would be sleeping at Tay’s. Oh my God, if I say that I feel so embarassed. Well, anyways, the point is that; yes, Jack, I will sleep with you.” He blushed a second later the words were out of his mouth. Jack couldn’t help but smirk. “No in that way, perv! I was saying th-hat you do-don’t have to… take the couch or anything. I want to cuddle with you and wake up next to you and… Jeez, I’m so cheesy.”

“You are. But I like you like that,” Jack winked at Alex, who just blushed even more and whined. They spent the rest of the evening laughing and teasing each other, with some occasional peck.

Alex had his head hidden in the crook of Jack’s neck, and Jack’s face was in between Alex’s hair. They were both smiling like fools.

“Jack?”

“Yup?”

“Do you really like me? Or are you just waiting to have sex with me?”
This took Jack by surprise. Had he given Alex that signs? Was he so insecure about their relationship? Did he really looked like a manwhore? Was he a manwhore? What was he? Was he using Alex? Well, at first he wanted to, but he didn’t… He felt sorry for him. But then he started developing feelings for him. He would never use someone like that. Jack laughed at himself. He had done it so many times. But not to Alex, he was a different thing. “Why are you asking me this?”

“I don’t know. Just answer.”

“Of course not, Alex.”

“Then why did you fuck that slut, my classmate?”

Jack froze. “I didn’t fuck her, Alex. We didn’t do anything.” Well, the first thing was true, it wasn’t a full lie.

“Whatever you say.” Alex sighed, annoyed. “Goodnight.”

“Wait, Alex. Are you going to be mad at me for something that I didn’t do? She wanted to give me a blowjob, and, being honest? I was going to do it. But I didn’t. For her sake.” Lie. “Why would you think that I would use you? Alexander, I’m risking my whole life here, you know? If they caught us, I would lose my job, my fr-Jesus! I would go to fucking jail, Alex! Jail!” Now it was Jack’s turn to sigh. “Why would I risk all that if I just wanted to have sex with you? I could go to any club and fuck anyone I wanted, without getting arrested. You’re one of the best things that ever happened to me, you make me want to smile ever-Wait, are you even listening to me?” No response. “Goodnight then.”

In fact, Alex was listening. That’s why he slept with an enormous smile the whole night.
