Eight

With the doors to the garden open, I led Mir and Mina out without hesitation. Mir's gray wolf was so beautiful. Her eyes glowed brightly for of passion and desire to run tonight. I had to take her out for this.
"Thank you for the compliment on my eyes," I keep on forgetting that in the pack collective she knows what I'm thinking.
"So how's the view from back there," I teased. That's when she passed me up.
"You tell me," she taunted.
"Daddy wait up," Mina whined as her little puppy paws struggled to keep pace.
"Daddy's here sweetheart. We'll let Mommy run ahead of us since this is her first night," I told her as I slowed my run to a trot so Mina could catch me.
It was close to dawn when the three of us returned to the castle. Mir's grandmother was waiting for us with cloaks for me and Mir and a diaper and much smaller cloak for Mina. Mina became human first and she got into her cloak and diaper. I turned next and Grandmother Lupei drapped my cloak over my shoulders before I stood. Mir turned last and she looked exhausted, her grandmother draped the cloak over her shoulders and helped her stand.
"Easy darling your going to be sore and very tired today. Jack why don't you take her to get some rest," she asked of me as she passed Mir's arm to me.
"With pleasure, Lady Lupei," I bowed my head to her in respect.
"Please call me Grandmother, Jack. You are my grandson in law now. You are family," she smiled kindly to me before she retreated indoors before us.

Mir woke up later in the afternoon. Mina and I were on the floor coloring in some of her disney coloring we brought for her to have something to do during our vacation. I felt so awkward being with Mir's proper family, but when I was with Mina and laying with her, I felt so at ease with her.
"There's my two favorite people in the world," Mir cheered when she sat up at the edge of the bed. Mina flashed a cheeky grin to Mir and both myself and Mir chuckled. Mina was definitely my princess.
"How did it feel to be a wolf Mir," I asked her.
"It was invigorating. I felt like I was flying on a cloud when I ran. I felt warm and so happy. Happier than I was when we married and when I met Mina for the first time. Nothing can compare," she gushed like a teenager over her all time celeb crush.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it Mommy," Mina climbed up into the bed and sat in Mir's lap.
"So when are we going home. Alex will want to meet his newest addition to the pack," I asked as I went to sit behind Mir and wrap my arms around my girls.
"We'll leave tomorrow afternoon. I haven't taken Mina to my old playroom to show her what I looked like when I was her age," she explained.
"Mommy was like me," Mina asked being so cute as usual.
"A very long time ago baby girl before Daddy met Mommy," Jack told her.
"Can I see the picture now Mommy," Mina asked.
"Absolutely sweetie. Put away your coloring books and crayons first though," Mina bounded off the bed and rushed through putting her coloring stuff into a pile by her toy bag before she ran to wait by the door.
"I'll put her things away. You go show her your old play haven," I kissed Mir on the cheek before she left with Mina, her little hand wrapping around Mir's index finger. I have it so made.

Notes

The run was a success! Now it's time to go home. The tale is far from over though. We'll be returning to Romania again in later chapters. I will be soon planning another baby for Mir and Jack so Mina's not an only child. She'd be spoiled rotten if I left her as an only child. But I will not keep it a secret this time. But I'm not reveiling the baby yet. It's too soon.
