I'll Keep A Secret If You Keep Me Guessing

Chapter Three

Alex's p.o.v.

As I opened the backseat door, I was startled to see another boy in there. I uncomfortably tried to shuffle to a much comfortable place.

"Have I got the right taxi?" I laughed awkwardly. I looked over to the boy. I stared at his facial features as he awkwardly looked down at his knees, fiddling with his fingers.  I noticed he had a blonde, golden streak in his side fringe and at the side.

"Oh yeah, you have. This Jack. He's starting your school today." He smiled through the inside mirror before gliding his eyes back to the non-busy road.

"Aha, well hi, Jack." I awkwardly spoke, turning my head to face him again. He never looked up as he mumbled a "Hi." This boy is awfully quiet, strange too. Not a bad strange, I don't think. I looked at his clothes and noticed a little bit of the blink-182's logo showing from what I could see. How did I not notice this before?

"Hey, you like blink-182?" I asked, biting my lip. I have never been this nice to someone before in a long time. Somehow I am still 'popular'. I'm the schools 'rebel' as they say. I talk back to the teachers in a horrible manner. I refuse to work. I hate school, it's horrible. At least I'm not ' unpopular'. People only like me because my accent, looks, and just to simply TRY to get in my pants. The girls normally, but even some boys. I don't understand why I have this many people trying to get with me. I'm just a normal person like everyone else, but of course the see something in me that I don't.

"Y-Yeah." He startled, looking at my appearance.

"That's cool, so do I." I smiled before looking out the window. People were chatting, walking and smiling as they took their children to school.

The sky was clear blue with only a slight cloud forming. Going to be a hot day, great. We past some shops before I realised we were arriving at school. I saw people smiling and frowning at me through the Taxi.

"Urg." I sighed out loud, un-bucking my seatbelt. I glanced over to Jack, who was just sat there looking slightly scared. He glanced at me before realising, he was indeed, at school. He quickly un-buckled his seatbelt. I said 'thanks' to Mr.Way -same as Jack, before getting out the taxi. Should I walk with Jack or leave him to survive school by himself?

"Hey, Jack." I called, smiling as Jack stepped onto the path. He looked up, biting his lip before moving towards me. He mumbled a 'yeah'. He was now stood right beside me. He looked scared. He looked like a deer in the lights of an on- coming bus. Well, it is his first day.

"Come on, I'll show you around." I sighed, as I saw a 'popular' who is annoying, Lisa of course. She was in the distance, but of course I could notice her. I see her face too often. I started walking before Lisa could catch up. As I walked a couple of seconds, I realised something. I turned around to see Jack didn't move a single bit. For fuck sake, hurry up. Lisa is close.

"You fucking coming or what?" I shouted annoyed at Jack. Someone beside me gave me a odd look. I shook it off to see Jack walking rather nervously. I didn't mean to shout at him like that, but Lisa was getting closer. I didn't want her to be drooling all over me. Especially not in the morning. As I took a quick glance at Jack, I could see the hurtness in his eyes. I couldn't help but feel bad for him. I ignored the thought and lead Jack up the path to school getting a various of 'Oh my god. Hi Alex' from the girls and they would fangirl when I said 'Hi there' back, sort of flirting. Nobody has noticed Jack.

I walked Jack to the reception.

I knocked on the window, waiting in a impatiently for the women to answer. After about five minutes later, the receptionist opened to window.

"Half took your fucking time." I angrily said towards the blonde, young women. She gave me a weird look. I looked over to Jack, which had shook written all over his face. Good, get used to it. The women stood there, not muttering a word to ask for what we needed.

"I'll fucking talk then. This is Jack. He's new and he needs his stuff. Go get it bitch." I sighed to the women. Both the receptionist and Jack gasped at the same time.

"Alex! Don't talk to me that way!" She scowled me. I sighed ignoring her. I was now facing away from her and looking down the corridor. "Of course I will get your stuff, Jack." She said in a annoyed way. She closed the window.

As I was looking down the corridor, at the end, I could see Lisa walking somewhere with her slutty friend, Jess. Luckily, they didn't look down the corridor me and Jack were on and haven't seen me. I was thankful for that. I probably would of ripped the bitch's hair out if she tried to flirt or talk to me. But of course I'm a boy, I can't. The one thing I hate about her is the fact she is hard to shout at and tell her to fuck off. It had been about two minutes before the receptionist appeared with Jack's stuff. I sighed in relief. I could finally meet Zack in our 'smoking area' and have a nice cig. That's right, I smoke. Big deal, get over it.

I snatched Jack's stuff off of the receptionist as I immediately looked at his timetable. I looked at the big, bold writing, 'Jack Barakat' it said, along with the year he was in. I never knew he was in my year. He's taller than me and looks about a year younger then me. I glided my eyes down to the lessons in black, rectangular boxes. I don't know why, but I want to get to know a bit about Jack. He is strange. Speaking of Jack, he is in all of my lessons.

"All lessons with me, sweet." I smiled towards Jack. He smiled at the ground, hands by his side.

"Come on, let's go." I suggested. Jack nodded saying a "Thank you" to the blonde women, who was still standing there.

"No need to say thank you to her." I groaned.

She scoffed, flicking her hair before closing the window. I smirked at that. The only reason I dislike her is because she's Lisa's sister. She tried to get Lisa with me, so I automatically hate her. I lead Jack down the corridors to the back of the school. We had some time left. The fresh air entered my body, calming me the fuck down. But only a little. I walked the corner to our 'smoking area' to see Zack already having a smoke.

"Sup Zacho?" I asked, walking up to him. Jack was awkwardly beside me.

"Aye up, Alex," He laughed as I stepped more to him. "Who's this you brought with you?" He smirked, suggesting to Jack.

I saw Jack go all red as Zack noticed him.

"Oh. That's Jack. He's new here. The taxi driver picked him up along with me." I smiled at Jack. He ducked his head again, fiddling with the bottom of his, a bit overly sized hoodie. A bit like mine. Mm. Strange.

"Oh. We have a shy one. That will change." Zack laughed, taking a drag.

"Oh. Zack. You don't mind if I could have a cig off you, do you? I woke up in a bad mood as always." I laughed. Zack nodded and put his hands in his pocket to get the packet. He got the cigarette packet out and handed me two. "Thanks Zack, I owe you one." I smiled.

"Two." Zack grinned back. I sighed at his response. Then I remembered Jack. He was slightly far away from us.

"Jack, get your arse here. You don't have to be shy around us." I laughed, signalling him to stand next to me. I rested my head gently on the brick wall along with my foot. I place the deathstick between my lips as my hand covered the flame of my lighter in case the wind decided to be a bitch and show up. I could feel Jack's eyes lock on me as I did these actions.

"Oh. Would you like one?" I asked Jack, pointing the second cigarette to Jack in order of him to take it. He instantly shook his head. No. Zack gave me a shocked look. Not because Jack shook his head no, but because I just offered one of 'my' deathsticks to someone else. Which I never did.

"Woah, Al-" Zack started, until I interrupted him.

"Oh. Don't smoke, hey?" I now know something else about him. I sucked in the cigarette and released it out into the open. After about ten minutes, I had finished my cigarette and stomped it into the concrete floor.

"Well thanks, Zack." I smiled. He nodded and started walking to his class. Yeah. We weren't in most lessons together because we are normally arseholes when we are together in class.

"Well we should be getting to class." I said as soon as the bell rang. Jack nodded and followed and we started making our way to our class.

"Demons" by Imagine Dragons reminds me of Jack in Dangerous and I get a little emotional.
