That guy I had run into earlier, Jack? Yeah Jack. He was pretty cool. I felt that I could become friends with him.. maybe even something more. What would that something more be? Why it would be to be his boyfriend. Shut up, Alex. He's probably not even gay.

I shook that thought away as I made my way to the courtyard Jack told me to meet them at. I found it in record time, and made my way over to them.

"Hey Jack." I said as I took a seat next to him.

"Hey Alex. How's your day been so far?" He asked.

"It's been great. You?"

"Fantastic as always. Meet Rian's girlfriend, Cassadee." He said.

"Hi. I'm Alex." I said. She smiled at me.

"Hi." She said.

"So you wanna come over to my house after school?" Jack asked me.

"I can't. I've got therapy to go to." I said.

"Oh.. I'm sorry. When are you free?" He asked.

"I'm free Friday through Sunday." I said.

"Want to hang out on Friday, then?"

"Sure." I said with a smile. I was liking Jack already.

"Do you have a phone so I can text or call you?" Jack asked.. I nodded and handed him my phone. He quickly entered his number, then gave it back to me after texting himself to save my number.

"I'll see you Friday then. Don't forget." Jack said with a wink as the bell rang.

After school, I quickly got all my homework done before I had to go to therapy. That place didn't help with Tom's death at all. I haven't even had an anxiety attack since he died, so I don't see why it's useful. My phone buzzed, and I picked it up. It was a text from Jack.

Jack:
Do you mind telling me why you have therapy? I mean, you don't have to. I don't want to pry.

Me:
How about I tell you Friday. I actually have to leave now. See you tomorrow.

Jack:
See ya.

I put my phone in my pocket and headed down the stairs before my mom had to yell at me. She looked at me and then we both walked out to her car. I got in the passenger side and buckled myself in.

"Mom.. why do I have to keep going to therapy?" I asked.

"It helps you." Was all she said.

"I don't need it, though. I haven't had an attack since he died." I countered.

"Fine. You'll go today, and if you seem fine, you can stop going. Deal?"

"Deal."

"But only if you have an attack are you going back." She said sternly as she pulled into the clinic.

"Bye mom." I said as I got out of the car. She waved and left. I walked inside and sat down on my usual spot in the circle. I was, of course, the last one to show up.

"Evening, Alexander." My.. counselor? said.

"It's Alex." I said. The girl who sits next to me scooted over closer to me, and she placed her hand on my thigh.

"Can you not?" I asked. She only batted her lashes at me.

"I'm gay.. so." I said quietly. She looked at me in disgust and let her hand drop to her side. I smirked and sat quietly throughout the whole hour and a half.

"Have fun, sweety?" My mom asked as I got in the car.

"No.. this one girl who sits next to me tried to flirt with me.." I trailed off.

"And?"

"I told her I was gay." I said, a blush rising to my cheeks.

"You're gay?" My mom asked.

"Yeah.. I.. am." I said.

"That's wonderful!" She said.

"Wonderful..?" I asked.

"Well, I'd like it if you were straight.. but I do support gay and lesbian marriage, sweety." She said.

"Oh."

"Anyone you've taken a fancy to?"

"I'm not sure." I said, "oh, and I'm going over to friends house on Friday." I said.

"Who?"

"My friend Jack. I'll let you meet him sometime. He's pretty cool." I said, and I meant it.
