I Knew You Were Trouble
Chapter 12
Friday
Today is just a regular day for me. To everyone else it's the day before prom. I really could care less about going to prom unlike the other majority of the school. Why's this? Because I am forever alone and don't have a date. Now instead of buying a gorgeous dress and going alone. I'm being forced to go last minute dress shopping with Cassadee and Alex's girlfriend, Jane. "For the last time I am not going to prom" I said as I walked into the lunch room with Cassadee and Jane. They left it at that as we joined our usual table with the guy's and Holly. Everyone at the table hates Holly, and she knows it.
It was finally the end of the day. I was quietly putting books into my bag when suddenly Cassadee was at one side of me and Jane was on the other."I really don't have a choice do I ?" I asked though I already knew the answer." Nope" they both said at the same time.
Let the torture begin.
After numerous dress shops I have found nothing. Everything they picked out was either too sparkly, or pouffy, or just not the right color. We found a bench and sat on it exhausted from walking around and trying on dresses. "This is hopeless" Jane said. I felt bad simply because they were trying to get me to go to prom. I was looking around at the mall and the nearby windows. I was looking straight ahead when I saw the perfect dress. " I think I've found it" I said before jumping up from my seat, and making a dash for the store. It took a second for Cass and Jane to follow me into the store and search after I pointed out the dress.
"Voila " I said as I pulled the dress from a rack I had searched through at least five times. I then brought the dress to the changing rooms to try on. After it was on and zipped up I stepped out to see Cass and Jane talking to the last person I wanted to see.
"What is he doing here?" I whispered to Jane after I had hurried back into the changing room." He's looking for a corsage*" she whispered back.
"Tell me when he leaves"
"Don't count on it being soon. He wants to talk to you"
"I'm not talking to him. He might as well give up"
I heard Jane deliver the message and then footsteps signaling he walked away. A knock on the door signaled he was gone. Stepping out a second time Jane and Cass had similar comments about the dress. "Oh my god it's gorgeous" "I love it" "Someone would be blind not to see how beautiful you look"
It was then settled that I was buying the dress.
After paying we left the mall and returned to my house. "Kaitlin!" I screamed while running up the stairs. I found her in Willows room feeding her. "I found a dress" I said excitedly. When Cass and Jane had caught up they started going baby crazy over Willow.
-The Next Day
Lately I've been waking up at 4am to feed and change Willow.Surprisingly I woke up at noon, and Im the last one up. Quietly, I tip toe down the stairs and see Cassadee and Jane making funny faces at Willow. Meanwhile Kaitlin is sitting at the bar drinking coffee and reading the newspaper. "Who fed Willow this morning?" I asked while continuing down the stairs. "All three of us" Cassadee answered. "I fed her. Cass burped, and Kaitlin changed her" Jane added. "You always wake up and feed her so we decided to take it out of your hands for once" Kaitlin explained while rinsing her cup. "Awwww. Thank you"
We had a whole five hours until we had to start getting ready so we spent it watching Disney movies, and playing with Willow. When those five hours passed my room looked like a tornado went through it. Dresses,shoes, make-up,accessories, spread over everything everywhere. The three of us got into our dresses, and sadly for me I was the first target. Kaitlin and Jane were attacking my hair while Cass did my make up. Then it was Jane's turn, then Cass. Kaitlin was staying home to take care of Willow with Zack who rather stay back and help Kaitlin. I think we awed for hours when we heard that that's why he wasn't going.
An hour later and the guys were at the door. Kaitlin had let them in as Jane,Cassadee, and I walked slowly down the stairs waiting for their reactions. The typical responses were thrown around from Alex and Rian. Jack on the other hand stayed quiet. Holly wasn't here since they agreed to meet there. So he could have said anything. He didn't.
Kaitlin gathered us up to take pictures. She did couples, then me. Then a group picture going Jack,Alex,Jane,me, Cassadee, and Rian. After that we did ones with just us girls, and ones with Kaitlin and Willow. Then we did funny ones with just the guys, and some with Zack. Lastly, we got one of Kaitlin,Zack and Willow. It was so adorable, I had to hold back the happy tears to keep from ruining my make up. Seeing them so happy together makes me happy. I'd hate to see something happen to them.

Notes
There's still maybe 6 chapters left, but Im going to ask anyway if anyone wants a sequel. If I get at least 5-10 comments saying I should do a sequel by the end of the story I will.Add an idea of what should happen in the sequel if you want a sequel. Otherwise I'm just going to write a totally different story. Other than that if this is bad then it's because Im only 15 and know nothing about prom. So if its all wrong don't hate me. I tried.Have a lovely day/night and here's her outfit.
