Who Said It Was Gonna Be Easy?

When I came back to pick Alex up, he was just getting out of the shower as I'd rang him to wake him up before I'd set off. He'd obviously towel-dried his hair as it was all messy and I couldn't help wondering if his sex hair would be just as messy.

"can I wear one of your hoodies?"

"sure" I grinned at him.

"thanks. They smell like you so it's like having a constant hug" he grinned as he pulled one of them over his now dry clothes.

"you ready to go?"

"yup. Think so"

"c'mon then" I took his hand as he picked his bag up. We went outside and got into my car.

"wait, jack?"

"mhmm?" I replied. With that, Alex leaned close and hugged me. It took me by surprise for a second but I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him back.

"what was that for?" I asked when he pulled away, his cheeks slightly reddened.

"well I'm not going to be able to get one last hug when we get to school, am I? People'll see"

"good point" I nodded as I began to drive.

"just text me if you need anything" I reminded him. He nodded but remained silent. The rest of the journey was spent in silence. I found myself worrying about Alex and his return to school. I know he'd only been off for a day and a half but he hadn't had a panic attack for no reason, had he? I just really didn't want anybody to give him any shit today. I wanted him to have a peaceful day at school for once. It's a shame I knew that wouldn't happen.
