LAURA'S POV.

I laughed as the girls coming up onto the stage gave me dirty looks, all knowing who I was from Alex's instagram earlier.
"Don't go past the white lines and stay in this area or security will tackle you. Your side-stage passes will not fly with them. They're not too hard to copy." A girl groaned to her friend and I kicked into full crew modes. "Rie and I are the only people who can save you from them, so if you're a bitch to either of us, we'll laugh as they throw you out the venue. I'm the one with the all access pass, not you. Now watch Taylor sing and enjoy it. The boy's'll be on in about five minutes. Don't get in their way or you'll be put back in general admission." I turned to find Rie talking to one of the security guards and climbed on top of the guitar case to watch the final song of We Are The In Crowds set. Taylor waved goodbye to the crowd and ran off stage, bypassing the girls asking for photos and gave me a massive high-five.
"Good to see you again, Li." I smiled and leaned down form my perch to give her a quick hug.
"Good set, you excited to be done?" Tay nodded and then sighed as the girls kept yelling her. "Run along!" I laughed as she turned to indulge the girls while Matt walked to the back of the stage and introduced the band. Alex appeared beside me and winked before running onstage.
"How the fuck are you doing, Indiana!" Screams erupted from the crowd as Cassadee joined me on the guitar case, flinging her legs up so they wouldn't be in Danny's way. "We thought we might start with an old one." Jack and Zack played a few notes as Rie ran past me, grinning, sneaking to the mic that was hidden for Matt's occasional input.
"I was wondering who was gonna fit Maja's harmonies." Cassadee laughed. "Zack can't go that high and it doesn't sound the same without female vocals." I nodded on agreement as I jammed along to the sounds, Cassadee joining me in singing along.
As the song came to an end, Jack looked directly at me and grinned. Not a smile, that cheeky 'I'm so up to something' grin only he could pull off. I narrowed my eyes at him just as Alex started to speak to the crowd again.
"Now, before we carry on, I want to introduce you to someone." No! I shoved my face in my hands and Cassadee squeezed my shoulders reassuringly. "Recently, Rie and I made a new friend, and we couldn't quite let her go. So we kept her! Can Laura please come here?" I shook my head but he just laughed. "It was more of an order, not a request. Get your ass on stage." I sighed and Danny lifted me from my perch and pushed me onto the stage. That was it, the crowd had seen me. I had to keep walking now. I trudged over to Alex, pushing my shirt sleeves up to my elbows and fiddling with the snowflake pendant Alex had brought me to match Rie's. Alex wrapped and arm around my shoulder before speaking into the mic again.
"This is Laura, Rie and I's... daughter for all intents and purposes. We fostered her officially this morning. Be nice to her or I'll disown you." I pulled away from Alex who just as quickly pulled me back, preventing me from running back off stage and gave me a quick kiss on the forehead, earning tonnes of cheering from the crowd, and told me to stay safe before finally letting me run away. I whipped out a winning smile to the scowling girls who stood dutifully in their allocated area as I passed, making my way back to Cass. The rest of the show went quickly, Cass singing Remembering Sunday and Rian interrupting yet again with comments on Cass this time instead of Alex.

"Cassadee has a nice ass?" Cass tried her hardest not to laugh as we made our way back to the bus, not a second passing without her whacking Rian. "You are a dick!" We all burst into giggles as Zack piggy backed me up the steps and into the warm of the bus. Zack threw me down on one of the couches and I was immediatley picked up by Jack.
"To a bar!" Alex swooped past and took me off Jack, placing me back on the floor.
"Not with her you're not. Zack?" Zack nodded and settled down on the couch next to me. "Right. See you fuckers later!" The entirety of the band and crew took off into the cold night in search of alcohol. Zack got up and locked the bus door when we both agreed we were way too tired to stay up and wait for the party goers. I slid into my bunk and pulled on my pyjamas, batman fleece pants and a snug All Time Low baseball tee, and as my head hit the pillow I fell insantly asleep.

"Laura?" I heard my name coming from outside the bus and crinkled my nose. Fuck that, I was enjoying my sleep. Concluding Jack had forgotten his key and had come home without the others I jumped from my bunk and mumbled my way down the bus, past a snoring Zack and looked out the bus window to identify the culprit. A knock on the bus door and a night too dark to see made me flick the knob and open the bus door.
"Jack?" I whispered into the night.
"Not exactly." The voice came from right beside me and as I was about to call for Zack and hand came down over my mouth, and the fumes from whatever was being pressed against my nose sent me into a deep, dreamless sleep.
