No Pads… No Helmets… Just Memories!

Alex looked up from the keg as Jack aggressively nudged his side. The singer's eyes shifted to the person his friend was following to see no other than Jasey moving not so successfully through the crowd. As Alex looked back to his friend to send a confused look, the guitarist simply rolled his eyes and gave him a shove, "JUST DANCE WITH HER ALREADY!" He shouted over the music. Alex, not needing to be told twice moved with his towering height to meet the pale brunette halfway. The girl giggling when he took her hand in his. The party had already been in full swing for some time and it was clear that Jasey may have been having issues in the weeks past but she found one thing that made them all go to fuzz, her new best friend Jack, who introduced her to the Jack she liked much better, the one that never talked back or made dick jokes and came in a 'classy little bottle!' She would say.

"Having fun?" Alex laughed as she nodded, almost falling over when she was brushed. The girl rolling to her toes to yell into his ear.

"Most since I’ve been here!" She laughed as she dropped to her heals.

"You wanna dance!?" Alex yelled with a smile as he pointed up as if referring to the music. The girl nodded before pulling on his arm and dragging him to the middle of the make shift dance floor.

Alex didn't know if it was the holiday spirit or the alcohol that had taken control when she abandoned any form of friendly dancing and began to grind against Alex, but it’s not like he was complaining, at all. His hips moving in sync with hers to the upbeat pop song, her hands linked to the backs of his as they took a hold on her hips. Jasey let out a bubbly laugh as she leaned forward enough to get a reaction from the boy. A smirk making its way onto his face as he returned the favor and pulled her hips back into his. "You know..." She dragged standing back up and allowing her head to drop back into his shoulder, "for a boy who can't dance you aint that half bad right now..." Alex laughed letting his hands slip up the sides of her tight black lace dress. "You aint so bad yourself..." He smiled letting his head fall to her exposed neck. The sensual singer placing a tender kiss to the skin as she hummed. His hands drifting back to the space where her hips met her things to help control there conjoined movements. Never would he have though in weeks past would he allow her to grind up on him in any state let alone a drunken one. But maybe something was in the air that night that only made him smile when she rolled her hips back against his. Never had he seen his friend in a sexual light, but this one, she was shining on herself, and for him to enjoy. But it wouldn’t be till Alex looked up that he almost all but stopped, his smile faltering as his eyes locked on a set of feminine blue ones.

Jasey's back straightened as she turned to her friend, her whisky clouded eyes looking up at him as he blinked his gaze to her. "You alright?" She yelled over the music as he attached his hands to her hips and pulled her to his chest.

"Just fine" he forced a smile as he began to grind his hips to hers and continue the dance as she willingly obliged.

"Well if you insist!" She smiled too far gone to see the stress written over his face. He swallowed hard and looked over her shoulder to see the cold glare still locked on him. The eyes flicking to the back of the house. There was no more avoiding what was about to happen next, and Alex knew that. The moment he caught sight of the second girl he knew he better keep the intake to a minimum and his right of mind intact.

"You want a drink?" He asked looking down on Jasey as she lightly pulled away. The girl’s features scrunched at the comment causing Alex to chuckle.

"God no!" She waved the idea away with a pale hand, "hit my limit and another tonight already!"

"I'll be right back then, don't go anywhere!" He yelled over the music to see her nod before disappearing into the crowd. Before he could even fully slip from the pack a manicured hand took hold of his collar and yanked him to the side.

"The hell you think you’re doing?" Tammy snarled up at Alex.

"Who even let you in here?" Alex yelled looking down at her as his stomach clenched.

"That’s not important, what’s important is that whatever the fuck was just going on, stops!" She hissed getting in his face. "We have a deal!"

"Our deal is over, your asses should be more than grateful we didn't turn Riley in after what he pulled!" Alex snarled back his body growing hot at the memory, "our deal, is off, you leave Jasey alone!"

"Our end of the deal isn’t over just because Riley blew his end!" Tammy mused in the singer's ear, "I’ll still tell the moment you leave me for her..."

"But I never have been and never will be with you!" He grunted as he pushed her claw like hands from his chest.

"Don't you care about her?" She sung as he looked back over his shoulder. A hollow feeling ripping through his body as he watched her carelessly hop around with Marc and Andrea, all the happiness she had thought she had gotten back could have been so easily be ripped from under her. He did. He did care about her, more than she would ever know. And the one thing standing between him and Jasey, stood in front of him. "Don't you want to protect her?" The blonde mused placing a hand to his chest causing his stomach to sink to his butt. Of course he did. That’s why he was apart from her for so long. But could he really go back now? Could he really risk losing her on the limb of protecting her?

"I hope you know, blackmailing me will NEVER, make me like you, she doesn’t deserve this" he snapped at the bottle blonde, "She doesn’t deserve to be dragged into your mind games!"

"And I don't have time for your petty bullshit, come Monday I am not to see, hear or even breathe news on a word of you and Jasey together or the whole school will know her little secret!" She hissed as he narrowed his eyes.

"I don't need this!" Alex exclaimed pulling from her grip to go find Jasey.

"Then I'll tell" she snapped back causing Alex to stop in his tracks. A knowing smirk pulling onto Tammy's face as she knew she had gotten to him. The elder boy growing almost a visible shade of green at how ill she truly made him, "you have till Monday to dispose of her." He swallowed as he watched Tammy smirk and fold her arms over her protruding chest.

Alex pushed and shoved through the crowd of moving bodies trying to locate his friends, any of them. He spotted Andrea's auburn hair moving to the music with Marc and Jasey at her sides. When he moved to approach them, a thick hand caught his elbow. "Dude was that Tammy just talking to you?" Alex turned to see Rian looking up at him with a worried expression.

"Yeah, don't worry; everything with her will be over soon enough!" He breathed before realizing the drummer was as well as deaf with the blasting beats causing him to yell a repeated version of the statement.

"You okay man?" Was all Rian would ask in response to the seemingly misplaced statement, "you look kinda green..."

"Oh uhm yeah..." Alex yelled running a hand through his hair before standing to his full length to assure the trio he had located hadn't moved, "MUST BE THE TEQUILA!" He shouted over the music.

"Oh!" Rian nodded before Alex slapped a hand to the shorter boy's shoulder and took off. Rian stood in thought for a moment before it dawned on him, "ALEX THERES NO TEQUILA HERE!" He shouted out in confusion, but it was too late Alex was already rejoining the other three. His hands going to cup Jasey's hips as she smiled over her shoulder and continued to laugh at something one of the other two had said.

"Hey man how’s it going?" Marc smiled seeming perfectly sober as the two clasped hands for a moment while Alex nodded a response.

"Hey was that Tammy?" Andrea cocked a brow as Alex let out a heavy breath that went unnoticed by the surrounding sounds of the party.

"Yeah she's been up my ass since she saw me here!" He rolled as if Tammy didn't have him by the balls, being her emotional puppet to do as she pleased, "she’s nuts, can't take a hint!"

"I can help!" Jasey piped up as she hopped to spin around and face the much taller boy. Her gray blue eyes seemed must less harsh than the ones Alex had been previously staring into as he eyed Jasey down in slight confusion, "you know, help show her you’re not interested!"

"How so?" Alex yelled bedding down to assure she heard him.

"Looks like your about to find out!" Marc pointed behind him and before Alex had a chance to crane his head, he was being tugged to the wall lined with Jack's mother’s favorite couches and love seats.

"Alex quick!" Jasey spat taking hold of his shoulders and shoving him back onto one of Jack's many couches, his whisky masked eyes looking up at her as they grew.

"Uhm not that I’m complaining-" he started as she climbed onto him, straddling his hips, "but why exactly are we doing this?"

"ALLEX!" Tammy's shrill voice broke through the noise as it approached, Alex's eyes blowing wider at the sound.

"Point taken!" He rushed grabbing hold of the small face and pulling her over him as he crashed their lips against one another's. Her body instantly melting into the kiss. No matter the conditions, just kissing him felt right. It didn't matter if it was to avoid Tammy or simply because the timing felt right. And there was no denying it. "Jasey?" Alex hummed against her lips as she pulled back enough take a good look at his face, her fine eyebrows perking up for him to continue as he did just that saying, "just wondering how long are we planning on doing this?" He finished motioning to the space between the two of them.

"Oh- uhm- I’m so sorry am I too heavy?" She flustered pulling her hips off his before he wrapped his hands around her small waist, locking them back in place.

"No, no, not the issue!" He flushed, "it’s just uhm- well uh- there might be another issue!" He flicked his eyebrows.

"What are you tal- oh- OH!" Her gray blue orbs widened at the realization of what Alex was hinting at. A small smirk was soon to follow as she looked down on him.

"ALEX WHERE ARE YOU!" A drunken blonde gushed as her head bobbed through the crowd as Alex grabbed hold of Jasey's face and pressed his lips to hers. Even if they tasted of beer and Coke, he knew well a drunken kiss from Jasey was a much better one than any form of a kiss from Tammy. It was then, in the light of the party, with the world moving around them that Alex realized, he still felt what he always had. The warmth, the calm and surreal-ness of being with her, even with the wild setting, it was then that Alex's mind began to work overtime at the thought of them. Had it been under different circumstances, or Jasey being less drunk that Alex would have fully understood how right it felt, but that wasn't the case. And even with all the external factors Alex could no longer deny that-

"WHAT THE HELL?" A new voice boomed over the music as Jasey fell off Alex and to the floor. "JASEY... Alex?"

"Riiiiiiiaan!" Jasey clambered to her feet in a drunken slur as her brother eyed his friend.

"Rian it’s not what it looks like I swear she was-

"LEXY BOO WHERE ARE YOU?" Tammy's shrill voice cut at Alex's ear making him take on an overwhelming sensation to vomit right then.

"Helping me avoid that!"

"I don't have time to deal with this right now!" Rian growled throwing Jasey into Alex's grasp as he stood, "I have to find Zack and get him home before we have another episode of skinny dipping in poor old Ms. Haberman's pool again!" Rian paused to run a hand over his disheveled face not sure how to handle what he had just witnessed seeing as Alex was clearly on the verge of losing his lunch and his sister was so far gone she could hardly stand, "just get her home will you, I'll deal with the two of you later!"

With a nod of the head Alex didn't bother to ask any questions and did nothing more than begin to pull his rambling best friend towards the door to call it a night.
