My eyes opened reluctantly as sunlight streamed through a gap in the blinds and onto my face. I sighed and lay there for a moment. Suddenly, butterflies erupted in my stomach as I felt the weight on the mattress behind me. I rolled over gently to face a sleeping Alex, his expression so relaxed and soft. I must have fallen asleep before he had gotten home last night, yet he was quiet enough to not wake me. In a way I wish he had woken me, but then again it was an extremely pleasant surprise to find him next to me this morning. I reached across and brushed a piece of his fringe out of his eyes. I bit my lip as he stirred slightly and his eyes fluttered open, eyelids lazily still half closed. I stared into his molten brown eyes and a sheepish smile spread across his face.
"Hello," he mumbled.
"Morning," I whispered back.
"I missed you."
"I missed you too..." I said, blushing slightly.
"Come here." Alex reached out and pulled me close to him, our lips meeting, not wanting to part from each other any time soon.

I leaned against the doorway in just a towel and smirked. Alex was spread out across the whole bed in only his boxers, barely watching whatever was on TV. My eyes took in all of my almost naked boyfriend. I bit my lip at that word. Boyfriend.
"Are you going to get up any time soon?"
He looked over at me and shook his head. "Hadn't planned on it."
"It's almost 7 in the evening. You've layed there in your boxers all day."
He cocked his head to the side as he shrugged, then his eyes made there way up and down my body. I made my way over to him and leaned down so my face was only millimeters from his.
"Get out," I breathed.
He frowned and pulled away. "What?"
"Out! I want to get dressed." I laughed and stood back up straight.
"But Nebs..." He whined.
"Out!" I tried to pull him off the bed but he was too heavy for me. "Alex!"
"Why! I've seen you naked before, no big deal!"
"That was one time and it was dark."
"No different! Pleeeeease!"
"Ugh!" I picked up a pillow and threw it at him. "Close your eyes!" I wandered over the drawers and slipped on a pair of panties. I looked back quickly to see Alex with the pillow over his face. I laughed to myself and dropped the towel, with my back facing him, and put on a bra. Next thing I knew, his arms were around my waist and his lips on my neck. My spine tingled and I felt my knees go weak. Shit, he knew my weak spot.
"Put on something nice," he breathed into my ear.
"Why?" I squeaked.
"I'm taking you out for dinner," he said as he let me go and walked into the bathroom.

Alex's POV

I put on my jacket and walked out into the hallway to see Nebraska waiting for me. I stopped and let my eyes wander over her. She was wearing a leather jacket, a pair of light coloured jeans and her black heels. I loved the way her long, wavy brown hair fell over one shoulder. She looked over at me, her eyes bluer than ever. I took a deep breath and ruffled my hair.
"Ready?" I asked, reaching out for her hand. She nodded and we made our way out to the car.

I leaned back on my chair and gazed out the window, watching the cars drive past. I had eaten way too much but dinner was great, Nebraska's face lit up when she realised I was taking her to her favourite restaurant.
"Alex?"
I turned, my attention back on her. "Yeah?"
She looked so tiny and fragile from across the table. She stayed quiet for a moment longer, her eyes slightly glassy. "I... I believe in love."
I felt my heartbeat quicken, remembering the question I asked her on that Sunday morning months ago. Her bottom lip quivered slightly as I held her hand in mine. "Neb..." I leant across the table and kissed her gently on the lips. I sat back in my chair and looked at her for a while longer. "You look so beautiful tonight."
She blushed and smiled, her dimple showing, a certain light in her eyes. If I could stay in this moment forever, I would.
