Chapter 15.
"No!"
"Please?"
"Alex, I said no."
Alex huffed at me and sat at the opposite end of the couch and pouted. I rolled my eyes and kicked him playfully. He grabbed my feet and pulled me closer to him, ending up on his lap. I brushed his fringe out of his eyes gently and ran my fingertips down his cheek and along his jawline. "I'm sorry baby, but I can't just keep on going on tour with you. I'm sure it get's annoying having your girlfriend at work with you 24/7. I know I wouldn't want you watching me make coffee's all day..."
"But you'll get bored here by yourself? This tour's gonna be awesome! And you know Vinny loves having you helping, do you know how many more guys shirts they sell?!"
I laughed a little. "I can't Alex. I need to spend more time with my brother."
Alex sighed and thought about it. "Oh!" He exclaimed suddenly. "How about you stay here for now and I'll talk to Keith, Flyzik and Vinny throughout the tour and if it gets busy, I'll let you know and you can work the dates we need you for?!"
I thought about it for a moment but my answer came easily. "Oh alright."
He grinned from ear to ear and kissed my cheek. "But prepare your liver..."

I waved as I watched the van drive off down the street and disappear around the corner. I wandered slowly back into the house and closed the door behind me. It was unnaturally quiet and empty without Alex and Jack. I guess this was the price I had to pay for dating a rockstar. I sighed and made my way down to the kitchen to make myself a coffee as it was only early in the day. I put the kettle on before realising there was no coffee left. I groaned and sat myself on the bench, picking up my phone I decided to call my brother. It almost rang out before a groggy Cody answered.
"Hello?"
"Hey Code!"
"Nebs what time is it?" He mumbled.
"Half nine... Did I wake you up?"
"Mhmm."
"Sorry kiddo. Hey I was just wondering if you wanted to go out for breakfast or something?"
"Um, sure? Give me like half an hour."
"Okay, seeya soon buddy!"
I hung up and smiled. I hadn't seen my brother since Alex had gotten back from tour, and now I'd finally get a chance to see my family.

I beeped the car horn a few times and finally my brother wandered out of the house. He trudged over to the car and got in, rubbing his eyes.
"You fell asleep after I called you, didn't you..." I said slyly.
He nodded, ruffling the top of his messy hair.
"Blue Moon Café?" I asked him.
He grinned and nodded again. Our mom always used to take us there when we were younger and I hadn't been there since her passing, I guess it was about time I held up the tradition.

"So how's school?"
"Okay I guess..."
"Have you actually been going?"
"Yes."
"Cody..."
"I have!"
"Okay okay, I believe you."
He stayed quiet and pushed the half eaten pancakes around on his plate.
"Can you please pass the syrup?" I asked softly. As he passed it to me, the sleeve of his jumper slid down his arm and my eyes fell apon a few straight cuts on his wrist. I took the syrup and tore my eyes away quickly. He looked down as he retracted his arm and continued to eat his pancakes in silence.
"Please?"
"Alex, I said no."

So I just read what you have of this story and I really like it so far. I'm bummed to see it was never completed or continued, though. :(
Alex and Nebraska's relationship is so sweet and I just love them together. I think that's a really unique name for a main character as well.
If you ever choose to pick this up again and finish it, I will be here to read. Wanted to leave a comment to let you know that. I think you're a really great writer, and think this story deserves an ending if you can ever find yourself writing for it again. :)
