So Long Soldier
Chapter 10.
Canada was great and tour life was definitely different. By the time we got to Europe I felt like I was part of the family. The crew were great to work with and I felt so at home.
"Wooohoooo!" Jack yelled as he bounced up and down next to me, ready to run on stage for the final show of their European tour. I cringed at how loud he could be.
Someone slapped me on the back and I jumped, only to be hugged by Alex. "Thank you so much for coming on this tour," he said, only just loud enough over the screaming fans. "Soundwave?"
"Huh?" I said, pushing back, unsure if I had heard him correctly.
"Soundwave, come to Australia with me?"
"Uh... Sure?!" I said, ecstatic.
"5 seconds boys!" The stage manager yelled. Alex grinned at me and kissed me on the cheek before running on stage after Rian, Zack and Jack.

"Alex?!" I yelled over the music. The after party was pretty mental as you can imagine. He turned to me and just shook his head, taking my hand and leading me outside.
"Shit it's loud in there!"
"Uh, look. Did you really mean what you said before the show tonight?" I bit my lip nervously.
"About Soundwave? Absolutely!"
"But, you know I can't sell merch there. What am I supposed to do?"
"Who knows, I'm sure Flyzik will find you something. I just... I need you there Nebs. I can't leave you back in America by yourself, yeah?" He pulled me closer by the waist and kissed me on the forehead.

Alex's POV
The day after we arrived in Sydney we went to the beach. Jack and I raced eachother across the hot sand to the water, Zack, Rian and Nebraska walking behind us. I stopped and watched Jack belly-flop onto a shallow wave. I turned and looked back at the others, my eyes automatically fixing on Nebraska. Her long brown hair, her easily tanned skin, her electric blue bikini. I shook my head, pulling myself out of my trance and took off towards them, heading towards Neb. She squealed as I grabbed her and threw her over my shoulder, beelining to the water. We both fell into the surf in a fit of laughter.
"Fuck you Alex! It's cold!" She screamed, but laughed again as Jack tackled me. I couldn't get over how good everything was.

Another night in and we found ourselves watching Blink headline their Sidewave. The music pumped through my body as I sang every word of the songs I grew up listening to, my best friends at my side. We migrated from there to the clubs and Jack dared me to go halves in a massive glass of some sort of drink with alcohol.
"Are you actually going to drink all of that?!" Nebraska asked as I took the first sip.
"You bet he is!" Jack yelled.

Nebraska's POV
I danced with Jack, trying to see who could come up with the silliest dance moves. I laughed as he tried to do the sprinkler but failed miserably as his legs were too long. I looked up and across at the bar, only for my stomach to drop as I spotted Alex. Jack noticed what I was looking at and immediately tried to distract me from it, but my eyes were fixed. Alex was very much involved with some blonde girl...

Hey lovelies,Sorry this chapter isn't very long :(
I thought I should let you know that I'm not going to have any time to write/update for about a week or so.
I am away until Friday, then I have a music festival on Sunday, and another one on Monday (Soundwave, WHICH I WILL BE SEEING ALL TIME LOW AT! WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW EXCITED I AM!) and then I will probably be recovering for a while!
So I hope you can all hold out until then...

So I just read what you have of this story and I really like it so far. I'm bummed to see it was never completed or continued, though. :(
Alex and Nebraska's relationship is so sweet and I just love them together. I think that's a really unique name for a main character as well.
If you ever choose to pick this up again and finish it, I will be here to read. Wanted to leave a comment to let you know that. I think you're a really great writer, and think this story deserves an ending if you can ever find yourself writing for it again. :)
