I'm Gonna Break Down These Walls
Coffeeshop Soundtrack
"Hey," I said awkwardly. Cindy just stared at me for a minute with a certain distance in her eyes.
"Alex, it's 7 o'clock in the damn morning on a Saturday. What the hell could you possibly want?" She relied while stretching and yawning. Damn, she was cute when she was tired. Wait, I've got a girlfriend. JoAnn is the girl for me.
I chuckled at her response.
"I wanted to know if you wanted to go to the library and study with me," I asked her, blushing.
"Of course," she replied, "let me get ready."
I waited outside her dorm room for 5 minutes until she emerged with all of her glory.
"That took you quick," I observed.
"Every day it takes me the same amout of time," she said with a smirk. We both walked across campus towards the library right next to each other. I wanted to just hold hands with her as we walked, but I kept on reminding myself that we were just friends. Nothing creepy. Just friends.
We finally arrived at the library and just hung out for two hours. Of course there was some studying going on, but most of the time, we were just laughing about something or telling each other stories. It amazed me how much this girl and I have in common.
"Hey, this is getting kinda boring." I stated after memorizing vocabulary words.
"I know but what else can we do?" Cindy replied.
"Let's go to starbucks," I suggested.
"Alright," she agreed, "I need caffeine."
We were both sitting in a booth, enjoying our coffees when Cindy finished her grande caramel macchiato and yawned.
"I need more rest," she complained.
"Just sleep here," I suggested. In response to this, she curled up with her head on my chest. This moment was literally too perfect. Just her sleeping with her head resting on me (my coffee was damn good, too.)
