I'm Gonna Break Down These Walls

Cindy's Prologue

The car ride was completely silent. Unlike most of the students attending Green Hills, I wanted to go to boarding school. I was getting extremely tired of my old public school because that's where my two older sisters go. My sisters are all the annoying gossipy type and I can't stand them. They all spend at least an hour every morning putting on their makeup, hang out with their equally annoying and gossipy friends, and shop at extremely overpriced "name brand" clothing stores. I don't usually wear too much makeup, spend most of my time alone, and buy band shirts and jeans at Hot Topic. You can easily see where we don't get along. The worst part is that my mom is growing annoyed at me for not aspiring to be the popular princess type girl and just being myself. She's always buying me large makeup sets in hopes that I'll wear it and expensive clothes in hopes that I'll wear them. She just needs to understand that I'm not like the others.
I was nervous about going to this new school because I'm pretty sure that there may be many people here just like my sisters who would complement me to my face and rip me apart behind my back.
"We're almost there," my mom said quietly. Great first words of the trip. I nodded and pulled out my earbuds, shoving them into my pockets. I quickly crossed my arms to let my mom know I was not pleased with her.
"Oh don't be so pissed all the time Cindy, you're the one who wanted to go here," she said bitterly.
"Maybe I wouldn't want to go if you treated me like a normal person!" I shouted angrily.
"Well maybe I could treat you like a normal person if you acted like a normal person," She shouted back.
"Maybe you could just accept me for who I am," I said quietly and bitterly.
"Enough!" My mom said. "We're here," She said and pulled up to the curb.
"Goodbye," was all she said as I stormed out of the car. I was walking around campus in a huff until I saw a brown haired boy strolling around looking equally angry. Except there was something special about him. He was wearing a Blink-182 t-shirt. I walked over to him to say hello.
"I like your shirt," I said awkwardly gesturing to his Blink-182 tee.
"Thanks," he replied with a smile.

Notes

And the plot thickens... Notice the similarities to the first chapter? Okay so the short little prologues are done. I can finally get to writing full-length chapters. Look forward to it!
